Molly Stackhouse
As your therapist, itâs my job to help you make positive, lasting change. This might feel easier said than done, but together, weâll break down transformation into small steps. My approach emphasizes your nervous system and taking things at your pace. Iâm here for your big emotions and your tiniest realizations.
As a provider, I value the diversity of the human nervous system and utilize somatic approaches to support healing.
Through it all, I want you to feel supported and encouraged as you expand beyond self-imposed limits and into your true self. I obtained my Masters degree from Millersville University and have been in the mental health field for 20 years. I'm licensed in PA, MD, OH, NJ, FL, ID and SC.
First session
We'll start our sessions with a relaxed, no-pressure introduction. Once we've established a comfortable connection, we'll dive into the specific challenges you're currently facing. Weâll also discuss your past therapy experiences and assess your support system. This info helps me create a personalized plan to encourage your growth and healing.
Strengths
As a provider, I value the diversity of the human nervous system and utilize somatic approaches to support healing. Providing a way to regulate your emotions and improve your problem solving skills can have positive implications in every area of your life.
Ideal clients
I enjoy working with clients who are talkative, motivated, and ready to work. My clients are typically 18-60 years old working through trauma, life transitions, or identity exploration.
Treatment methods
EMDR
EMDR is an effective trauma treatment that helps reduce the emotional intensity of distressing memories, anxiety, and depression. Using bilateral stimulation, it supports the brainâs natural ability to process and heal from traumatic experiences in a safe, structured way.
Internal Family Systems (IFS)
I use a parts-based approach to help clients understand and compassionately work with their inner world, supporting deeper healing and self-awareness.
Acceptance and commitment (ACT)
I use ACT to help clients build mindfulness and acceptance around their thoughts and feelings, using tools like meditation, cognitive defusion, and values exploration.
Brainspotting
Brainspotting is a powerful therapy that uses eye positions to access and release deep emotional pain, helping treat trauma, anxiety, depression, and performance issues in a safe, supportive space.
Integrative
I take a holistic, integrative approach to therapy, using a variety of modalities to tailor treatment to each client's unique needs. This allows me to address the full range of human experienceâthoughts, emotions, behaviors, and physical sensations.
