I am a licensed social worker in both Massachusetts and Connecticut. I have over 15 years of experience working as a clinician. I work well with Individuals who are experiencing distress that is getting in the way of their daily life, as well as those who are struggling with serious mental health concerns. One specialization of my practice is working with First Responders who are struggling with stress or trauma related to work and their loved ones. I know it can be hard to take the step to start therapy when things start to feel overwhelming. I am looking forward to talking with you more about how I can provide you with help and support.
On our first session we will discuss the concerns that you would like to talk about in therapy. You will have the opportunity to share any history you think is important to our work together. We will start to establish therapeutic goals to work on together based on the concerns that are most important to you.
I am humanistic and person centered in my approach to therapy. In addition to this, I like to work on helping to identify solutions and coping skills that are easy to do after the session ends. I don’t ever want therapy to feel like an extra chore or task to learn when someone may be already feeling overwhelmed.
I work well with adults, teens, transitional age young adults, couples, and families. I work well with Individuals who are struggling with many concerns ranging from daily stress and relationship concerns to more serious mental illness. I have experience working with individuals who are coping with a Traumatic Brain Injury and individuals who are diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder. I am experienced as a therapist working with First Responders who are affected by work stress and trauma, including Police Officers, Corrections Officers, Fire Fighters, EMS/Paramedics, and their loved ones.

My career has been specialized in working with clients who are experiencing a psychiatric crisis and I have expertise in working with suicide prevention.
I work well mediating and assisting couples to find solutions and paths to communication.
I have a well established professional history working with court involved and incarcerated clients as well as clients who are transitioning out of incarceration.
Both my graduate and undergraduate educations were focused on person centered and humanistic approaches to therapy. My approach is compassionate and focused on looking at the whole person and their needs.
I try to find solutions and skills that fit easily in to people’s lives. I look for solutions and skills that don’t require involved learning. I want my clients to be able to easily repeat the skills and utilize the solutions we find during therapy.
