As a therapist, I am committed to helping you have healthier, more balanced, harmonious lives and relationships. My therapy approach includes traditional and holistic healing techniques that involve mind, body, heart and spirit as well as things unseen. My years of experience in community mental health include individual, child, couples, co-parenting and family therapy. I am able to relate well to many different cultural, ethnic, socio-economic groups. With an M.A. in transpersonal psychology and an M.B.A. from University of Chicago plus 25 years of corporate experience, I use a broad range of skills to help my clients explore their needs and goals. As a certified yoga and meditation teacher, many of my clients have learned mindfulness techniques that enhance their recovery. All of us need confidential support for different things at times. My job is to compassionately support you in what you need, with your values, to have the life that you want.
During intake I do a broad review of mental health history, trauma background, family & friend support network, safety assessment and complete legal decisions (eg confidentiality, tech risk, safety protocols, cancellation policy/fee). I explore client expectations for / concerns about psychotherapy and answer questions about being the right fit for clients. We explore client's symptoms and determine a diagnosis for treatment planning.
I have a holistic approach and leverage skills developed from my psychotherapy training, corporate training, and eastern spiritial practices to help clients improve. I am also a certified meditation and yoga/breathing teacher, so can leverage those principles as well.
Individual clients from teens to elderly, mostly between 17 to 65 years old. Most have common mental health struggles and some past trauma or significant grief. I believe strongly in diversity and enjoy working with clients of different ethnicities, cultures, nationalities / immigrants, sexual orientations, socioeconomic backgrounds, and different spiritual beliefs. Note: I have strong experience in relationship therapy but do couples/family counseling only by exception and on cash/out of pocket basis. I do not accept insurance for this. If you have a request for this type of therapy, please message me before making an appointment.

Transpersonal
Transpersonal /CBT takes into account holistic healing - mind, body, heart, and spirit are inseparable. Treating the personal as a whole allows for expanded understanding and broader solutions to be developed. Leveraging coping strategies from all aspects of life helps improve overall quality of life instead of just the problem in that moment.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
Utilizing all forms of CBT / Solutions Focused principles help clients develop a healthy internal dialog and adopt more supportive beliefs, as well as help process emotional scars and past traumas. This will also help diminish/ overcome negative behaviors and discover new approaches to life problems. Being solutions focused rather than problem focused will help improve quality of life and relieve suffering.

I really enjoy Adrienne being direct and get straight to the point approach. I also really appreciate how she's extremely insightful about my world, my workplace, and most importantly about my emotions which I wouldn't otherwise be able to observe. I feel more confident now about working with Adrienne and be able to getting better each day with her guidance.
