Hi! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and I have been practicing in the mental health field with adolescents and adults for the past 12 years. In working with a client, I focus on creating an environment in which you will feel at ease and respected.

I have an ability to quickly establish rapport which helps you to actively work with me towards your identified goals.

I have an ability to quickly establish rapport which helps you to actively work with me towards your identified goals. My client-centered approach allows you to openly share issues you feel are causing distress and explore ways in which you would like to make changes.

First session

In our first session together, we will explore relevant historical information and then dive deeper into presenting concerns. This will help me to create a plan specific to your needs and identify what you're hoping to get out of therapy.

Strengths

When working with clients, I offer individualized and creative care. I start with understanding where you are now and the challenges you are facing. Together we will identify a plan to put in place to help you move forward, while celebrating all of your success, no matter the size, along the way. I focus on creating a safe and inclusive environment in which you feel respected and comfortable being vulnerable, so you feel like you’re being heard and can get the help you need.

Ideal clients

It is my mission to help people find hope and the answers they are searching for to live better lives. I enjoy assisting adults, especially young adults experiencing life transitions, with managing distress, establishing healthy boundaries, and exploring future planning and goal setting.

Treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

My favorite treatment style is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) because it can help change our perspectives and improve overall mood. CBT focuses on the relationship between your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors and how making a positive change to one of these can benefit the others. It's a very empowering concept that helps you to take control of the things you can control in your life!

Brainspotting

Brainspotting is a powerful intervention that allows you to process neurophysiological sources of emotional/body pain, trauma, and other mental/physical symptoms. Brainspotting believes "where you look impacts how you feel" and utilizes eye positions to access the part of your brain connected to the central nervous system to manage distress.

We met the second time and apparently our getting to know you time was up when she was asking my why I thought something was happening . I didn't know that was a cue to expand further. She kept asking the same question , in which I had answered in a previous session. She seemed tired to the point I kept count of the number of times she yawned, first time 10 in one hour, and the second 5 in a half an hour. The second time the internet connection was horrible and that was held against me.
