Hi, I am a Marriage and Family Therapist licensed in California for 20 years and I hold a doctorate degree in the Philosophy of Counseling. I am in my second marriage for 30 years now, after my 24-year first marriage failed. We have seven children between the two of us, 31 grandchildren, and 7 great-grandchildren. I have had good success counseling couples who have given up on their relationship, especially those who have experienced infidelity. I don't counsel children until they are 18. I enjoy helping people understand how they became the way they are and therefore find ways to leave dysfunction behind.
In our first session together, we'll start with brief introductions, then dive into the specific challenges you're facing. This will help me create a tailored plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions.
Previous clients have said the knowledge shared with them, and the options we explored together, which they would never have thought of, helped them deal more successfully with the challenges they were facing. Many say my style is gentle and understanding.
If life has thrown you a few curves and you need to find ways to avoid their negative consequences, I would love to help you sort that through. I would help you find better alternatives of ways to deal with life than those that are not working well now. This is especially true if you are dealing with grief and loss. Dealing with divorce has been an important part of my services.

My husband and I had our first appt with Dr. Will. We connected well with his style of therapy, appreciated his clarity of his therapy process, and will be booking another appt.

From the very beginning, Dr. Will created a warm and welcoming environment that immediately put us at ease for couples counseling. He’s intelligent and insightful, and has a really thoughtful way of helping us see things from new perspectives. He’s relatable and brings a natural sense of humor into sessions, which we both appreciate. He’s very open-minded, which has made us feel heard, respected, and supported. We highly recommend Dr. Will!
