Hi! I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) based in California. I have been working with families, children and adults since 2007 in a variety of community, clinic, and telehealth settings. I currently help adults struggling with anxiety, life transitions, and relational stressors learn to navigate and find success in their life path. The work I offer clients helps make life seem more manageable and allows each client's strengths to shine.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session we will review information from your intake and collected measures to create a baseline. We will discuss what brings you into therapy and we will collaboratively set goals with clients so that your needs and voice are represented in the forefront of the work that we'll do together. I will ensure we are a good fit for future therapy, and review ideas to get you started practicing new skills.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

Therapy involves commitment and work, but it can also be invigorating and fun! I believe in the healing power of therapy, as well as our ability to create changes we envision for ourselves. Therapy is a place for examination: of ourselves, our roles, our histories, and the contexts that make up our complicated and sometimes remarkable lives. Whether it's your first time considering therapy or you've benefitted from therapy over time, now is a great opportunity to consider working together in treatment to support reaching your goals. Join me as we'll learn, laugh, mourn, and grow; such that our past is honored, but we free ourselves into cultivating a life of our choosing.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

I love working with adults who notice difficulty navigating life and its changes. Common topis covered in therapy include: difficult upbringings, anxiety, relationship challenges, perfectionism, and work/school/parenting stress. I support clients throughout the life course, including adjusting to role transitions and coping through life hardships. I treat diverse clients of a myriad of ages, gender identities, sexual orientations, and cultural backgrounds. I also offer relational support, and I currently hold certification as a Narcissistic Abuse Treatment Clinician, which serves as a framework for understanding and finding success in dealing with difficult people.

My treatment methods

Integrative

The therapy I offer includes an integrative style, which allows me to focus on building a relationship with clients while using therapeutic approaches that best meet the unique and diverse needs of clients I work with. Therapy approaches have similarities and differences that when incorporated, can create a beautiful opportunity for whole-self healing.

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

I use acceptance and commitment therapy to help clients explore their values, recognize and defuse from harmful narratives, all while accepting ourselves fully and living into your personal goals.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use cognitive behavioral therapy to help clients examine thought, emotion, and behavioral patterns to determine habits that, when challenged, that can lower current distress and create healthier ways of thinking about ourself, others and the world.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

Dialectical behavioral therapy explores the concept of dialectics; two opposing forces that exist in the same moment. I teach skillsets included within DBT to support your improved feeling able to manage difficult emotions and life situations with greater acceptance, starting from a place of understanding and validation of your individual experience.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

I love to incorporate mindfulness approaches which will serve to help you feel fully present and able to reduce self-judgement while practicing relaxation and connection.
