Hi, I'm Dr. V, Helping you develop, achieve and maintain a sense of control, balance and momentum in your life...in a sustainable sense (meaning that it lasts), is my passion. I try to do this by providing an environment where you can feel seen, supported and challenged constructively. You are no stranger to pressure, but when stress, anxiety, or self-doubt start running the show, it’s time to take back control. I help people like you break free from the mental roadblocks that are holding you back, whether it’s overthinking, burnout, or performance anxiety. Together, we’ll identify the root of your challenges and create a game plan that works for your mind and body. My approach is holistic, blending mental performance strategies with mindfulness to help you build resilience, confidence, and a stronger connection with yourself. I’m here to guide, challenge, and support you every step of the way.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Your first session is all about understanding where you are and where you want to be. We’ll do a wellness check, explore your stressors, strengths, and discuss what’s holding you back. This is a space for honest conversation, self-reflection, and setting the foundation for meaningful progress. Together, we’ll determine if we’re the right fit and create a plan to help you build resilience, confidence, and sustainable success in your personal and professional life.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

◇Thinking outside the box ◇Building clarity around challenges/issues ◇Getting your 'normal' way of thinking challenged My approach meant to spice things up with Mind Shifts, to get you out of your own way!

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

My ideal client is someone who feels overwhelmed by anxiety in their day-to-day life—racing thoughts, constant worry, and a sense of unease they can’t quite switch off. They may struggle with sleep, overthinking, or feeling on edge, and want a space to slow down and understand what’s happening internally. They’re open to exploring patterns, building emotional awareness, and learning practical ways to feel calmer, more grounded, and more in control.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Helping clients identify and challenge unhelpful thoughts and behaviors by breaking down negative patterns and reframing them into healthier, more realistic perspectives. This approach is used to develop practical strategies that clients can apply to manage stress, reduce overthinking, and improve emotional resilience in their daily lives.

Positive Psychology

Focused on enhancing well-being by helping clients identify and build on their strengths, cultivate gratitude, and foster a sense of purpose. It emphasizes developing positive emotions and resilience, guiding clients toward thriving rather than simply addressing problems.

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

Helping clients embrace difficult emotions and thoughts instead of avoiding them, while focusing on taking action aligned with their values. In therapy, ACT is used to teach mindfulness skills and promote psychological flexibility, helping clients commit to meaningful behaviors even in the presence of discomfort.

Cognitive Processing (CPT)

Helping clients identify and challenge unhelpful thoughts and behaviors by breaking down negative patterns and reframing them into healthier, more realistic perspectives. This approach is used to develop practical strategies that clients can apply to manage stress, reduce overthinking, and improve emotional resilience in their daily lives.

Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT)

Helping clients recognize and transform negative emotional cycles by exploring the underlying feelings and unmet needs driving their thoughts and behaviors. Through this process, clients learn to reframe distressing experiences, develop secure emotional connections, and adopt healthier, more adaptive responses. This approach fosters greater emotional resilience, reduces overthinking, and equips clients with practical strategies to navigate stress and deepen their relationships.

Dr Richards made me comfortable on the intake interview. she listened and was not pushy or too direct, and she gave me to bring up other things that I hadn't initially mentioned.
