If anxiety, chronic pain, health concerns, or other life challenges have changed your life and you’re tired of not feeling like yourself, I’m here to help. I’m a licensed mental health counselor with nearly two decades of experience supporting others through life’s challenges. I hold a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and a Master of Science in Clinical Counseling. Before becoming a therapist, I spent more than 20 years in management and supervision within the medical field. Helping others was always the most meaningful part of my work, which led me to a second career in counseling. I bring a broad perspective and understanding of both the personal and practical challenges people face.
Your first session is an opportunity to feel heard, understood, and comfortable beginning the counseling process. We will talk about what brought you to therapy, what you hope to change, and what you would like support with. Creating a safe, nonjudgmental counseling relationship is my priority. From there, we can begin identifying goals and a direction for therapy that feels right for you.
I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Pain Reprocessing Therapy (PRT), Solution-Focused Therapy, mindfulness-based interventions, and other approaches, tailoring therapy to each client’s unique needs and goals. My strength is partnering with clients to recognize their strengths, develop practical skills, and create meaningful change. I especially enjoy supporting those navigating chronic health conditions, chronic pain, and life changes.
My ideal clients are adults and older adults navigating anxiety, chronic pain, health conditions, grief and loss, relationships, caregiving, addiction, or significant life changes. They may feel overwhelmed, stuck, or unlike themselves and are ready to better understand their experiences and make meaningful changes. I believe that while we cannot always change others or our circumstances, we can learn to respond differently, recognize our strengths, and move forward.

I utilize a collaborative, integrative approach, drawing from cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness-based practices, and person-centered techniques to tailor each session to the unique needs of clients.
I partner with clients to help them come to their best options in moving forward for improvements in their quality of life by this treatment intervention. Answers come from within when supported in a safe space and being heard.
Mindfulness simply means being in the moment. We often live life with concerns about the future or thinking about the past. Being in the present moment allows us to gain understanding out what we want or need. This helps to set up our goals and have a plan to move forward.

She understands everything that I’m going through and she’s so open-minded that she challenges me with some different things and I go through them and then I report back to her and see if that if I didn’t write, I think she’s a very warm and wonderful person

We were a good fit from the beginning. Very considerate understanding and she gave me hope from the start. I feel she will help me through a lot of things that are going on. Knowledgeable and trusting and kind.
