Hi, I’m Rasha. I work with adolescents and adults who are navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD, life transitions, and identity-related stress. Many of the clients I support appear strong and capable on the outside but feel overwhelmed, overextended, or emotionally drained on the inside. I provide a supportive, culturally responsive space where you can show up fully as yourself — without having to filter, shrink, or explain your experiences. Whether you’re managing stress, healing from past experiences, or working through concerns related to racial or ethnic identity, I’m here to help you gain clarity, confidence, and emotional stability. Therapy with me is about real tools, real insight, and real growth.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Your first session is focused on connection, clarity, and helping you feel comfortable. We’ll talk through what brought you to therapy, the challenges you’re currently facing, and what you hope will feel different in your life. I’ll ask thoughtful questions to better understand your history, current stressors, strengths, and support systems. You won’t be expected to have everything figured out — this is simply a space to begin exploring your experiences at your own pace. During this session, I will also provide insight into how I support clients throughout their therapeutic journey and explain what the therapy process can look like. We’ll begin identifying your goals and discuss how our work together can support reduction, improvement, or elimination of the concerns that brought you in, depending on your needs. My approach is collaborative, and I view therapy as a partnership. We will work together as a team, with a shared focus on helping you move toward meaningful and sustainable change. Above all, I strive to create a safe, nonjudgmental space where you feel heard, supported, and empowered from the very beginning. My goal is to create a calm, nonjudgmental environment where you feel heard and supported. By the end of our first session, we’ll start identifying initial goals and outline next steps so you leave with a sense of direction and a clearer understanding of how we’ll work together.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

Clients often tell me they appreciate that I balance warmth with structure. I’m compassionate and validating, but I also help you build practical tools you can actually use outside of session. I integrate trauma-informed care, cognitive behavioral strategies, and strengths-based approaches to help you regulate emotions, shift unhelpful thought patterns, and build healthier habits. With over eight years of experience in mental health and leadership roles within public health settings, I understand both personal and systemic stressors that impact well-being — including cultural, racial, and environmental factors. I’m comfortable holding space for complex stories while keeping therapy focused and goal-oriented. If you’re ready to feel less overwhelmed, more grounded, and more confident in who you are, I would be honored to support you.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I’m best positioned to support adolescents and adults who feel overwhelmed, stuck, or emotionally exhausted, even if they appear high-functioning on the outside. Many of the clients I work with are navigating anxiety, overthinking, self-doubt, ADHD-related challenges, or the lasting impact of past experiences that continue to affect their daily lives. My ideal clients are often insightful and self-aware but may struggle to translate that awareness into meaningful change. They may feel caught in unhelpful patterns, be hard on themselves, or unsure how to manage intense emotions or life transitions. Some are navigating identity-related stress, including cultural, racial, or environmental factors that shape their experiences. I work best with individuals who are open to reflection and growth, even if they feel uncertain or intimidated by the process. You don’t need to have everything figured out — just a willingness to show up honestly. If you’re looking for both support and practical tools, and are ready to better understand yourself while building healthier patterns, we will likely be a strong fit.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to help clients identify and challenge unhelpful thought patterns that contribute to anxiety, depression, and behavioral difficulties. I support clients in developing practical coping strategies, restructuring cognitive distortions, and building emotional regulation skills. In my practice, CBT is often integrated with goal tracking and measurable treatment planning to ensure progress is observable and aligned with insurance-based care expectations.

Trauma Informed Care

I practice from a trauma-informed lens in all of my work, recognizing the impact of adverse experiences on emotional regulation, attachment, and behavioral patterns. I help clients build safety, stabilization, and coping capacity before processing traumatic material. My approach emphasizes empowerment, pacing, and nervous system regulation to prevent retraumatization while supporting sustainable healing.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

I incorporate solution-focused techniques to help clients identify strengths, clarify goals, and build momentum toward change. This approach is especially effective for clients navigating life transitions, relationship challenges, or periods of feeling “stuck.” I use scaling questions, future-oriented dialogue, and strengths exploration to promote hope and forward movement.

Strength-Based

I incorporate solution-focused techniques to help clients identify strengths, clarify goals, and build momentum toward change. This approach is especially effective for clients navigating life transitions, relationship challenges, or periods of feeling “stuck.” I use scaling questions, future-oriented dialogue, and strengths exploration to promote hope and forward movement.

Psychoeducation

I regularly integrate psychoeducation to help clients understand the physiological and psychological components of their symptoms. I teach emotional regulation skills, distress tolerance techniques, communication tools, and executive functioning strategies. This structured support is especially beneficial for clients with anxiety, ADHD, trauma histories, or mood disorders.
