Hi, I’m Sarah Escobar, LPC. I’m a compassionate and experienced counselor dedicated to helping individuals navigate life’s challenges with confidence and clarity. My approach blends proven clinical techniques with real-life wisdom and practical problem-solving, so clients not only feel supported but also empowered to create meaningful change.

If you’re open-minded, motivated, and ready to take initiative with my support, I’d be honored to walk alongside you as you create meaningful, lasting change.

I specialize in helping people recognize and challenge unhelpful patterns, beliefs, and behaviors that may be holding them back. Together, we work on building healthier ways to cope, communicate, and move forward—so you can experience more peace, stronger relationships, and a greater sense of fulfillment. Whether you’re facing stress, anxiety, relationship struggles, or major life transitions, my goal is to meet you where you are and guide you toward the life you truly want. My counseling style is warm, empathetic, and collaborative, while also being thoughtful and solution-focused. If you’re ready to take the next step, I’d be honored to walk alongside you in your journey toward healing, growth, and lasting change.

First session

Hi, I’m Sarah. If you’re ready for real change and motivated to take steps toward a better quality of life, I’d love to work with you. I specialize in helping clients who want more than just insight—they want practical skills and tools they can use every day to feel stronger, more confident, and more in control of their lives. I work best with people who come to therapy open-minded and ready to take initiative (with my support and guidance) to make challenging—but rewarding—changes. My role is to walk alongside you, challenge unhelpful patterns, and encourage growth, so that you can begin building the life you’ve been hoping for. If you’re ready to invest in yourself and start that journey, let’s get started together.

Strengths

Hi, I’m Sarah. If you’re ready for change and motivated to build a healthier, more fulfilling life, I’d love to work with you. I bring years of experience as a Licensed Professional Counselor and specialize in supporting neurodivergent and neurotypical individuals, as well as couples and families, as they navigate life’s challenges. I’ve also completed specialized coursework in sex therapy, which allows me to guide clients through sensitive issues around intimacy, connection, and communication with care and respect. My greatest strengths as a provider are my ability to see the whole picture quickly—to analyze the puzzle pieces of your life, identify patterns, and begin charting a path toward real solutions. I combine strong analytical skills with deep empathy and clear communication to build trust and cooperation in the therapeutic relationship. You can expect me to not only listen, but to actively challenge you to grow, because our shared goal is to make your life better. If you’re open-minded, motivated, and ready to take initiative with my support, I’d be honored to walk alongside you as you create meaningful, lasting change.

Ideal clients

Hi client, if you are ready for change, motivated and want practical skills and tools to improve your own quality of life, then we will work very well together! I love clients who come to therapy open-minded and willing to take initiative in their lives (with guidance) to make challenging, yet positive and rewarding changes that lead to a higher overall quality of life.

Treatment methods

Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy

I have many years experience with this therapeutic approach to help clients discover the beliefs held deeply that can be causing depression, anxiety, intrusive thoughts that lead to a decreased quality of life. I use the ABC model to help clients identify these beliefs and learn to actively challenge negative/irrational beliefs to improve mood stability and overall quality of life.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I utilize CBT and TF-CBT to help clients understand the connection between thoughts, emotions and behaviors and how thoughts can eventually lead to positive or negative outcomes in life. By identifying, challenging and replacing negative thoughts, a person’s mood can improve and this can lead to more positive decisions and behaviors that improve overall quality of life.

Christian Counseling

I believe that a person’s faith can be a strength in coping with the many challenges that life can bring. Mental health symptoms and disorders are found within the Christian population and I believe in helping clients utilize prayer, Bible study, reading Christian books and gaining support of the church to overcome mental health challenges.

Couples Counseling

I love working with couples to identity root causes of relationships, communication and problem solving skills to grow stronger relationship bonds and improve relationship satisfaction. I also work with couples who have been through the pain of infidelity and are trying to rebuild a strong, healthy relationship. I have experience from gaining a B.A. in Communication and then a M.S. in Professional Counseling and I use 22 years of knowledge and experience with improving communication and relationships when I work with couples. I am LGBTQIA2s+ friendly and I also work with couples who are involved in alternative styles of relationships, such as swinging, BDSM and kink.

Grief Therapy

I understand the pain involved in loss/grief and have worked with many clients over the past decade who are grieving to help them find peace and acceptance and be able to move forward after a loss. Grief can come from many different types of loss, not just losing someone who has passed away, but also grief from losing a job, a relationship or a way of life that someone was formerly accustomed to living. Recent years have caused people to grieve in many ways and there is hope, healing and a path forward that we can work toward together

Sarah gave us peace of mind. She shared her knowledge & experience & expertise. She gave us hope. She has been with us since the beginning & we're so happy to have her. Sarah has so much information to share to help you make good decisions about your future & life moving forward. We chose her because of her background & what she had to offer that fit our personal lives. She's someone we plan to remain in contact with in our forseeable future. HH
