Hi my name is Sara Tynes! I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor. I was born and raised in Colorado and I have been living in California for the past eight years. I have been practicing counseling for 10 years and have experience working with children, teens, adults, couples and veterans. I enjoy getting to know my clients, not just their challenges but also their interests and goals. My approach focuses on building meaningful relationships that helps support their journey toward well-being. Please visit my website for additional resources and support https://www.therapywithsarat.com/
The first session will be an intake session gathering information to understand my client's background, their needs and goals for therapy. I build rapport with my clients and make them feel comfortable by showing my personality and compassion.
I use my compassionate personality to develop trusting and meaningful relationships with my clients. I believe in the power of healing through human connection and strive to ensure that your present pain doesn't make you forget about your future purpose.
I want to help people who seek improvement, can embrace being vulnerable, and who desire a sense of connection, not wanting to feel alone or face life's challenges in isolation.

I frequently utilize CBT to help clients become more aware of and change negative patterns of thinking and behavior. I enjoy how this approach is effective in treating depression, anxiety, PTSD, and many other mental health conditions.
I implement mindfulness to teach clients to bring awareness to the present moment. This technique is very helpful in reducing worry and strong emotions. This practice promotes a sense of calmness and relaxation.
I have been trained in Christian counseling and I offer this type of counseling. I utilize this form of counseling for clients who wish to explore their problems within the context of their religious beliefs and values.
I really enjoy working with couples and I have experience in pre-marital and marital counseling. I am a certified facilitator of Prepare and Enrich assessment which couples can take to identify areas of strength and growth in their relationship.
I provide encouragement to clients for them to utilize and celebrate their strengths and capabilities. This empowers my clients and helps build self esteem.

Sara Tynes a “talk therapist” should understand that Her job duty. She is to provide talk therapy. Instead of just recommendations on medication having zero therapy sessions have taken place between Her and I. I already disclosed I was 100% uninterested in any medication‘s. I found Her insulting. I did not feel like she was listening or understanding me thoroughly. We were fighting to talk over each other instead of taking turns this did not feel like a peaceful, healthy healing talk therapy.
