About me

We all have different life experiences that can create conflict and stress. It can be confusing to navigate. I am an individual who has lived experience with many different types of conflict that includes trauma, medical neglect and more. With perspective from these experiences and the insight from my educational background, I can provide mindful guidance to assist you on your journey. I am ready to meet you where you are and together, we'll develop practical tools to help you feel more confident navigating challenges, strengthen your resilience, and create lasting positive change. Through therapeutic strategies and interventions, that are designed to meet your specific needs, we can turn the stress and conflict into enrichment in your life.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

During your first appointment, we will focus on getting to know each other. You can share as little or as much as you prefer. Sometimes it can feel overwhelming and uncomfortable to share too much too soon. Please know it is okay to wait to share more with me when you are ready.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

Sometimes we have a plan in place and life throws us challenges that change the plan. I will adjust each therapy session depending on the information you share with me. I am ready to help you become more grounded, confident, and resilient. You deserve to feel more equipped to manage life's challenges.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

Each client is the expert in their own life. It's natural for any human to look for guidance and support as they navigate different transitions in life. My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Through a collaborative interaction we can explore how your connections between your thoughts, emotions, physical sensations, and behaviors affect your daily life functioning.

Cognitive Processing (CPT)

Through collaborative interactions we can safely explore your understanding and the impact of different traumatic experiences. We will find helpful coping strategies to use regularly that can minimize the stress during this process.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

Many people feel emotions in different ways. There is a wide spectrum that is unique to each person and because we have so many layers of emotions that can happen at the same time, it can be overwhelming for our system to process. DBT tools can help us approach these variety of emotions in a helpful way so our system can work more effectively.

EMDR

Traumatic experiences can occur from many different ways the body and brain processes intense and alarming information. Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy can be option for clients to use to help their brain and body speed up the processing or digesting of these situations that have built up over time and cause distress.

Eclectic

While I have experience and training in many different types of therapy methods, I take a similar approach with them all; I adjust and offer different treatment options based on the client's preference and style of treatment. Through our collaboration, each client will help me design the treatment approach. We will find a recipe of strategies that is unique to this point of their journey. I encourage clients to advocate for themselves and reflect on their treatment often so if we come across an unhelpful strategy we can comfortably adjust.
