With over 20 years of experience as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, I provide a compassionate, grounded space to help individuals navigate life's complexities. I specialize in working with grief and loss, as well as facing challenges with codependency, addictions, eating disorders, and family members of addicts. My approach is collaborative and tailored to your unique journey, focused on helping you break old patterns, build resilience and create lasting, positive change.

First session

Welcome! It is completely normal to feel a little nervous before your first session, but our initial time together is really about finding our rhythm and ensuring you feel comfortable. Think of this first session as a collaborative conversation and an opportunity for us to get to know each other. We will briefly review some initial paperwork, and then you will have the space to share what brings you to therapy, what challenges you are currently facing, and what you hope to achieve. There is no pressure to dive into everything right away; we will move entirely at your pace as we begin to map out a supportive path forward tailored just for you.

Strengths

When we work together, you can expect a time rooted in deep professional experience, warmth, and genuine collaboration. As a licensed marriage and family therapist, I bring a seasoned, insightful understanding of human relationships and personal growth to every session. My approach balances structured, expert guidance with a gentle client space that honors your unique timeline. Together, we will look at your challenges through a practical yet deeply supportive lens, ensuring you always feel heard, respected, and empowered to make meaningful shifts at a pace that feels entirely safe and sustainable for you.

Ideal clients

I am best positioned to serve individuals who are ready to move beyond just talking about their challenges and are looking for a collaborative, active partner to help them create meaningful change. My ideal clients are often navigating complex relationship dynamics, life transitions, or find themselves stuck in unhelpful patterns of thinking and behavior. They bring a mindset of curiosity and a willingness to explore their inner world, but they also appreciate a practical, down-to-earth approach. Whether your goal is to untangle long-standing relational struggles, quiet an overactive mind, or cultivate a deeper trust in your own inner wisdom, we will work together at a pace that feels entirely safe, structured, and sustainable for you.

Treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

In our work together, I frequently integrate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help you identify and gently reshape the underlying thought patterns and beliefs that might be keeping you stuck. Rather than treating CBT as a rigid, one-size-fits-all formula, I blend my deep experience with a collaborative, compassionate approach that respects your unique pace. We will work together like a team to uncover how your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors influence one another, equipping you with practical, real-world tools to navigate daily challenges. My goal is to make these evidence-based strategies feel natural, empowering, and deeply supportive of your personal growth

Person-centered (Rogerian)

"At the core of my practice is a person-centered, or Rogerian, approach, which simply means that you are the true expert on your own life. Instead of acting as an aloof authority figure who tells you what to do, I walk alongside you as a supportive, collaborative partner. In our sessions, you will experience what psychologists call 'unconditional positive regard'—a completely safe, non-judgmental space where you are fully accepted exactly as you are. I listen deeply and reflect back what I hear to help you gain clarity, trust your own inner wisdom, and grow at a pace that feels natural and authentic to you. You set the agenda, and I provide the steady, compassionate environment you need to heal and thrive."
