Hi! I'm a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) based in Maryland. I received my Masters from the Howard University and have been practicing for 5 years. I specialize in helping individuals and couples manage anxiety, anger, grief, and life stressors. My approach is straightforward and supportive—offering a non-judgmental space where you can explore challenges, gain new perspectives, and build healthier ways of coping.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In your first session, we'll explore what brought you to therapy and then decide the most appropriate ways to help you make progress. With CBT, we'll look at how your thoughts affect your emotions and experience. During treatment, I'll help you learn how to push back against those thoughts to change your feelings for the better.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I believe my personalized and strength based approaches tailor therapy techniques to each client's unique strength and needs rather a one size fits all model which improves outcomes. In addition, I believe continuous education surround cultural competence and inclusivity ensure that therapy is respectful, relevant, and effective for a board range of clients.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

I work with clients who may be struggling with life transitions that might be adversely struggling with their mental health, relationships, or family. I have a passion working with young adults and couples needing to address communication within their relationship and/or marriage. My clients are motivated for change, but might not have the tools needed to make those goals a reality within their life. Many times my clients describe often feel stuck or overwhelmed in their life prior to counseling services.
