New to Grow
I am dedicated to fostering individual growth, empowering clients to identify and cultivate previously unrecognized strengths. I view challenges as opportunities for continued development rather than impediments, embracing each person's unique journey. My approach integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Person-Centered Therapy, and positive, goal-oriented strategies with a curious approach. Clients seeking faith-based counseling can also incorporate a Christian focus into their sessions.
In the first session you can expect a relaxed welcoming space. I recognize the courage and strength it takes to seek help and will incorporate that courage in fostering a trusting therapeutic relationship. By the end of our first session I am hopeful that you will feel a sense of peace and encouragement in the start of your healing journey.
I am curious and goal-oriented. I will listen so that you are understood but also ask questions that may challenge how you have thought and behaved up to this point. I believe that we become team members in exploring and identifying the best ways you can live the life you want. I do have a military back ground and am a part of a broader military family.
My ideal client would be those who are potentially struggling with low self-esteem, anxiety, depression. Also life phases, young adults, newly married, new parent, empty nesters, work stressors, work transition issues. Clients who are wanting to be challenged and dig deeper to the root causes of their concerns. Client's who have a mindset for change but may be stuck on how to move forward.
