New to Grow
I’m Sainmerite Joseph, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Registered Nurse with over 15 years of experience supporting children, adults, and families through behavioral health and life challenges. I provide a warm, nonjudgmental space where you can feel heard, understood, and supported. My goal is to help you better understand what you’re experiencing, build on your strengths, and develop practical tools to create meaningful change.
During our first session, we’ll take time to get to know each other and talk about what brings you to therapy. I’ll listen to your concerns, learn about your goals, and begin understanding the experiences that have shaped you. Together, we’ll identify areas you would like to work on and create a treatment approach that feels comfortable and meaningful to you.
My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and individualized. I believe therapy should be a safe place where you can be yourself without judgment. I draw from evidence-based approaches such as CBT, DBT-informed strategies, motivational interviewing, and solution-focused therapy, while recognizing that every person’s needs and experiences are different. I meet clients where they are and work alongside them toward greater confidence, emotional well-being, and lasting change.
My ideal clients are adults and families who are looking for a safe, supportive space to work through life’s challenges. I especially enjoy working with clients experiencing anxiety, depression, stress, trauma, relationship or family concerns, life transitions, or difficulties adjusting to change. I welcome clients who are ready to better understand themselves, develop healthier coping skills, strengthen their relationships, and work toward meaningful personal growth.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)I use CBT to help clients recognize the connection between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. Together, we identify unhelpful thought patterns and develop practical strategies to manage emotions and respond to challenges in healthier ways. I use a solution-focused approach to help clients identify their strengths, recognize what is already working, and focus on realistic steps toward their goals. Therapy is centered on progress and meaningful, achievable change. I use motivational interviewing to help clients explore their own reasons for change without judgment or pressure. I meet clients where they are and support them in building confidence and taking steps toward the changes they want to make.
