I’m an LMFT/ CSAT/ CMAT doing private practice counseling and group therapy in Los Angeles. I’ve been a therapist for almost 7 years, experienced in treating sex/ porn addictions, trauma, depression, anxiety, grief, substance use, ADHD, and church hurt in private practice, recovery clinics, and faith-based settings. As a CSAT, I pay special attention to intimacy disorders, and believe the best way to treat addiction, depression, or sin is about finding real hope and meaningful connection rather than “managing bad behaviors.” What I really want you to know about me is that I believe so much in the therapy process, because my life was changed forever by the counselors that have helped me to overcome my own mental health struggles. A little more about me that makes me who I am as a therapist? I was a pastor for 17 years and I feel humbled when I can come alongside ministry leaders in a crisis of faith. As a gay Christian, I’m especially proud to share my story with other LGBTQ+ individuals who long for self-acceptance and inclusion in the church. I was a songwriter in my younger days and enjoy finding creative ways to help people heal. I believe we find our greatest purpose in the center of our pain, and I will probably get super excited when you do too.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

I hope to be the safest judgment-free zone where we can talk openly about absolutely anything without any fear of shame or condemnation. We will start by getting to know each other. I will ask about your back story, some basic medical questions, and some challenges or goals you'd want to work on with me. Then, we'll talk about which options and strategies feel right for you.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I've been told that my greatest strength is seeing the greatest strengths in others. I've also been called "aggressively hopeful" which means that once I see your strengths, I am really going to believe in you. I also believe that you're probably here for more than just "bad behavior management." I am always going to be curious about the hungers, desires, and needs beneath those behaviors so we can find healthier ways for you to be be satisfied with your life. My goal is to help you integrate every part of who you are so you can live with integrity—fully known and fully loved.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

You are my ideal client if you are at a turning point. You know life just hasn't been working out the way you had hoped and you are tired of pretending that it is. Is it time to be loved and accepted for who you are? Is it time to make peace with your past and move forward? Is it time to stop being afraid of what would happen if you do stop? You’d be amazed how many people (like you and me) have bravely faced their biggest questions in therapy and found meaningful answers. Let’s see if that can be your story too!

My treatment methods

Attachment-based

AWARENESS: The more we become aware of the relationship patterns that shaped you as a child, the more you'll be able to create the healthier and more fulfilling relationships you want to establish as an adult.

Internal Family Systems (IFS)

INTEGRATION: This is where we discover how all the parts of your life combine to make you exactly who you were born to be- your personality, passions, strengths, and even the chapters of your story that you've been afraid to talk about.

Positive Psychology

HOPE: I've been called "aggressively hopeful," because I know that the therapy journey has helped me and so many others discover how to believe that we can be loved and have purpose in our life!
