Kate Trabalka
Hello and welcome! My name is Kate, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I have experience supporting individuals navigating anxiety, depression, alcohol use disorder, and life transitions. I strive to create a safe, compassionate, and nonjudgmental space where you can explore challenges, build insight, and develop meaningful coping strategies.
I’m often told that clients feel like they can share anything with me, which I believe comes from my ability to listen deeply and without judgment.
Whether you're feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or simply ready for change, I’m here to support you on your journey.
First session
We’ll start in a relaxed, supportive space where your needs and goals come first. Together, we’ll clarify your objectives, explore possible directions, and begin crafting a plan that fits you. By the end of our session, you’ll leave with greater clarity and a sense of purpose for the steps ahead.
Strengths
My greatest strength is creating a space where people feel genuinely comfortable being themselves. I’m often told that clients feel like they can share anything with me, which I believe comes from my ability to listen deeply and without judgment. I strive to make sure you feel truly heard and understood, while also gently helping you explore your thoughts, gain clarity, and move forward in a way that feels right for you.
Ideal clients
I work especially well with young adults, including college-age individuals, who are navigating transitions, uncertainty, and questions about identity, direction, and what comes next. This stage of life can feel overwhelming, and I enjoy helping clients slow down, gain clarity, and move forward with greater confidence and intention. At the same time, I have experience supporting adults across the lifespan, including older adults. I value the perspective each stage of life brings and tailor our work to meet your unique experiences, challenges, and goals. My approach tends to resonate with clients who are looking to better understand themselves while also making meaningful, forward movement in their lives. While we’ll explore past experiences and patterns to understand how they may be shaping the present, our work is grounded in helping you move toward the future you want—at a pace that feels thoughtful and manageable. I particularly enjoy working with individuals who are open to reflection, growth, and building a clearer sense of direction, whether that means making decisions, navigating change, or simply feeling more grounded in who they are.
Treatment methods
Integrative
I use an integrative approach, blending mindfulness, CBT, and ACT to create a personalized therapy experience. Our work will be flexible, collaborative, and tailored to your needs—helping you build insight, develop practical tools, and move forward in a way that feels aligned and sustainable.
