I believe in a person's ability to grow and as a clinician, the experience of guiding another in the process of growth, is invigorating and has fueled my passion for over 40 years in the helping professions. Seeking outside guidance takes courage and is a valuable strength. I am able to help you to discover your self-defeating patterns and use your courage and strengths to develop new behaviors and strategies that bring you fulfillment and reach your goals.

My treatment methods

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

This approach combines CBT with metaphor and somatic techniques to help with anxiety, depression, obsessive-compulsive and trauma related symptoms.

Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy

Helpful with unraveling core and irrational beliefs along with CBT thought stopping and thought replacement and cognitive restructuring techniques for improving quality of life functioning with most mental health disorders.

Somatic

An important part of therapy is learning to become more resilient and self-sooth especially for anxious, compulsive, and trauma related symptoms.

Karen is the most knowledgeable therapist I've ever worked with. She knows how to help you find the root causes of deep issues, and offers multiple routes of how to tackle those issues. It's obvious how much she cares about your healing journey having a successful outcome; and she has the knowledge to guide you. I'm so grateful that I found her.
