New to Grow
As a Christian LMFT, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, I believe healthy growing lives can happen when clinical skill and biblical truth work hand in hand. I integrate Scripture and prayer with evidence-based methods to help individuals and couples find lasting change, not just symptom relief. I work with adults 21 and older, individuals and couples, who want a therapist who won't ask them to leave their faith at the door. Whether you're navigating a marriage in crisis, grieving a loss, learning to live well with ADHD or autism, or carrying the weight of trauma, I'll walk that road with you - grounded in the truth that we are "fearfully and wonderfully made" (Psalm 139:14) and that healing is part of God's redemptive work in us. My Approach I draw from Emotionally Focused Therapy, the Gottman Method, and trauma-informed and neurodiversity-affirming frameworks —always through a biblical lens. Proverbs 3:5-6 reminds us to trust God rather than lean only on our own understanding, and I hold that as a guide for my work: I bring the clinical tools and build a therapeutic relationship, and trust God with the outcome. Sessions may include Scripture, prayer, or biblical reflection when welcomed, but the goal is always the same — helping you move toward healing and wholeness in your relationships. If you’re looking for a therapist who takes both your mental health and your faith seriously, I look forward to supporting you.
It will be a great opportunity to verbally share more about the initial assessment questions or ask questions yourself. I will be with you in whatever you bring to session, you do not need to 'mask' your thoughts or feelings as your authentic self is welcome here. I will start to explore some of your immediate experiences, and talk through what therapy will look like and what to expect. You are using your bravest, possibly your most desperate, or explorative self to come into this space. I commend you and honor that! I think my genuineness and respect shows through well, and I will share my ideas of care planning at the end of that session. It will last about an hour and 20 minutes.
I believe that your heart and your mind make up major parts of your soul. If either of those is wounded, or stuck, or lacking nurture or balance, your soul will be sick or at least a little bit “under the weather”. God wants your soul supple, soft, tender, and flexible. I’ve found that TOOLS like therapy, spiritual mentors and coaches, physicians, body movement and nurture, support/growth groups, and a functional community are what God uses to heal and Grow our souls. I enjoy being one of the conduits for God’s direct current of wellness and abundance! I am compassionate and intuitive, able to see patterns that might be running under the surface. I am genuinely fascinated with the human soul and the creativity that’s there. I will maintain a balance between gentle accountability and present encouragement that works for you.
I can best assist someone who is ready to look at their existing patterns of systemic hurts, habits, or hang-ups without blaming others or themselves. They are ready to consider or contemplate new ways of interacting with God, themselves, and the people around them. That person, couple, or family is willing to re-work their communication and interaction patterns in order to glorify the Creator and accept His gift of an abundant and eternal life.

I offer counseling that comes from both my clinical training/experience, and Christian faith. For clients who welcome it, we can explore how scripture, prayer, and spiritual meaning-making fits into the therapeutic work - always at a pace and depth you're comfortable with.
My work is grounded in attachment theory - the belief that our earliest relationships shape how safe and connected we feel with others - held alongside my Christian faith, which points to relationship, first with God and then each other, as the ground of healing. In session, I offer a steady, attuned presence that becomes part of that healing itself.
I use Solution-Focused Brief Therapy in my practice as appropriate - focusing on uncovering strengths, what's already working, and where you want to go. This pairs naturally with my faith-infused lens: that HOPE is not wishful thinking, but a grounded expectation that change is possible and probable.
My practice is trauma-informed, meaning I prioritize physical and emotional safety, transparency, and your sense of choice and control throughout our work together. I move at a pace that respects your nervous system rather than pushing toward disclosure before you're ready. This looks like holding space for your experiences with a non-anxious presence - trusting that healing unfolds in its time, not on a forced timeline.
I bring a Gottman Method-informed approach to couples work - focusing on building friendship, managing conflict constructively, and creating shared meaning between partners. We'll look at patterns like the 'Four Horsemen' that erode connection and work to replace them with repair and turning toward one another. This reflects a view of marriage as a relationship worth tending with real skill, not just good intentions.
