Hi, I’m Sandra Martinez Silva, LCSW, a bilingual English and Spanish therapist specializing in anxiety, trauma, grief, and life transitions for adults and women navigating stress, emotional overwhelm, and burnout. I provide a warm, supportive, and culturally responsive space where clients can better understand their emotions, strengthen coping skills, and reconnect with their values and inner strengths. My approach integrates CBT, ACT, mindfulness, and trauma-informed care to help clients improve emotional regulation, reduce anxiety, and create meaningful, lasting change.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

During our first session, we will focus on getting to know each other and creating a safe, supportive space where you feel comfortable sharing at your own pace. I will take time to understand what brings you to therapy, explore your current challenges and goals, and learn more about your strengths, relationships, and life experiences. Together, we will begin identifying patterns that may be contributing to stress, anxiety, emotional overwhelm, or life difficulties while also discussing practical tools and next steps to support your healing and growth.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

Clients often appreciate my warm, collaborative, and supportive approach. One of my greatest strengths is helping clients feel emotionally safe while also providing practical tools they can apply in everyday life. I specialize in supporting adults and women experiencing anxiety, trauma, grief, emotional overwhelm, burnout, and major life transitions. I help clients better understand emotional and behavioral patterns, strengthen coping skills, improve emotional regulation, and build greater confidence and self-awareness. My approach integrates CBT, ACT, mindfulness-based, strength-based, and trauma-informed therapy in a way that feels compassionate, culturally responsive, and tailored to each client’s unique needs and values.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I work best with adults navigating anxiety, emotional overwhelm, grief, life transitions, relationship stress, and challenges related to self-worth and emotional balance. Many of my clients are feeling stuck, burned out, or disconnected from themselves and want practical coping skills, greater confidence, and healthier ways to manage stress and emotions. I provide a warm, collaborative, and culturally responsive space where clients can feel supported while creating meaningful change.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients understand how thoughts, emotions, and behaviors are connected. Together, we identify unhelpful patterns, build healthier coping skills, and develop practical tools to reduce anxiety, stress, and emotional overwhelm.

Strength-Based

I use a strength-based approach to help clients recognize their resilience, personal strengths, and existing supports. Therapy focuses on building confidence, self-awareness, and the ability to navigate challenges with greater clarity and empowerment.

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

I use Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help clients develop greater awareness of their thoughts and emotions without becoming overwhelmed by them. Together, we focus on mindfulness, self-compassion, and values-based action to support emotional growth and resilience.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

I incorporate mindfulness-based techniques to help clients increase self-awareness, reduce stress, and improve emotional regulation. These practices support grounding, self-compassion, and responding to challenges with greater intention and balance.

Trauma Informed Care

I provide trauma-informed care by creating a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where clients feel emotionally supported and empowered. I approach therapy with sensitivity to how past experiences may impact current emotions, relationships, and coping patterns.
