Good Morning/Good Day, My name is Giovanna H Pennick. I am a licensed therapist in the state of Texas. I am a dedicated mental health professional with a Master of Education in School Counseling and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). My work is grounded in compassion, collaboration, and the belief that every person has the capacity for growth and healing. I strive to create a space where you feel genuinely seen, heard, and supported—never judged. My approach is warm, relational, and practical. I blend evidence-based strategies with a deep respect for your lived experience, empowering you to build insight, develop new tools, and move toward a more grounded, meaningful life.
Our first session is about getting to know you—your story, your strengths, and what brings you to counseling. During this session, you can expect: • A welcoming, calm, and confidential environment • A chance to share what you’re hoping to understand, overcome, or change • A collaborative exploration of your goals for therapy • Space to ask questions about the process, my style, or anything else on your mind • An initial plan that outlines how we might move forward together. There is no pressure to disclose more than you are comfortable with. My goal is to meet you exactly where you are and begin building a trusting, supportive therapeutic relationship.
• Empathic Connection: I create a space where clients feel truly understood and valued. • Holistic Perspective: I consider the whole person—emotional, relational, educational, and environmental factors. • Clear, Practical Guidance: I balance deep emotional work with real-world tools you can begin using right away. • Nonjudgmental Presence: I offer warmth, patience, and acceptance, allowing clients to show up authentically. • Collaborative Approach: I work with you, honoring your autonomy and encouraging your insight and strengths.
I am particularly passionate about working with: • Adults and adolescents navigating life transitions—educational, career, relationship, or identity-based • Individuals experiencing stress, anxiety, and overwhelm • Clients seeking personal growth and self-awareness • People who feel “stuck” and want support clarifying goals or changing patterns • Those experiencing school-related or workplace challenges • Clients who value a collaborative, supportive, and down-to-earth therapy style. Whether you are beginning therapy for the first time or returning to it, my aim is to help you feel grounded, confident, and supported as we work toward the changes you hope to see. I believe each person is the captain of their own ship and master of their fate. Let me guide you back to wellness!

There is only one you. There are only 24 hours in a day. I encourage the use of research based tools and strategies to support the symptoms you may be presenting. I strongly encourage clients to explore changes to their routine, daily habits, and health to find balance. With intentionality and consistency, these strategies have been proven to support wellness. This is a process. We will work together to find what works best for you and your lifestyle.
Couples Counseling
Using a variety of strategies including exploring past relationships, communication, love languages, etc; I provide structure to build and restore communication, mindfulness in partnership. You are two whole humans with your own personal experiences working to build a life of meaning, commitment, and longevity. Therapy is a space to explore, align, and build the skills necessary to work together . You are life partners, a team.
Solution Focused Brief Treatment
Clients are encouraged to commit to at least 4 sessions or 30 days of therapy. In session, we focus on building solutions rather than eradicating problems—clients are not encouraged to analyze the hypothetical causes of their problems. Clients change by constructing solutions rather than focusing on problems.

I really feel confident about meeting with my therapist. She is very empowering and welcoming. When I was nervous she made me feel comfortable to talk about the things I didn't even intend to say from the beginning. So overall I feel empower and honor to recommend her to any one in need of counseling.
