Hi, I’m Rebecca Yeretzian, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and Art Therapist in Los Angeles. I support people feeling overwhelmed by trauma, grief, or chronic illness. I offer a warm, nonjudgmental space to feel understood, gain clarity, and move toward a more grounded and fulfilling life. Navigating the challenges of life and death can be inevitable and isolating, often accompanied by a whirlwind of feelings that may seem impossible to understand. I provide a safe and supportive space for finding moments of peace amidst the turbulence of the unique emotional complexities you're facing. With a deep understanding of intersectionality and relative cultural competency, we will delve into multifaceted issues given your specific diversity considerations. As you take the initial steps towards counseling, I support you in your honesty and willingness to entrust me as a new ally in your life. We will work together to identify your goals in cultivating a sense of fulfillment and peace beyond your anguish.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In the first session with me, you can expect a sincere, calm, welcoming space where we will talk about what brought you to therapy, what challenges you’re facing, and what you hope to get out of our work together. I’ll ask gentle questions to understand your emotional landscape, while also inviting you to share your lived experiences at your own pace. By the end of the session, we’ll begin to identify your goals, explore the approaches that may best support you, and create a foundation of trust so you feel seen, understood, and ready to start your healing journey.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I lead with empathy and have a unique perspective. I offer insights relative to questions like, "what is the nature of consciousness?" while being able to connect subtle nuances to grandiose concepts. The experience of being—the vivid, ongoing sense of “I am here”. The inner light through which we perceive the world, feel emotion, and know ourselves. At once intimate now illuminated, shapes reality not just as we see it, but as we live it, inviting us to explore both the depths of our mind and the essence of existence itself. We may not have all the answers, but in our questions, we discover meaning, connection, and purpose.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

Ever feel like the weight of your past or the intensity of your emotions is impossible to carry alone? Navigating deep trauma, grief, or severe emotional pain can feel isolating and overwhelming, leaving you unsure of how to move forward. I provide a safe, compassionate space to sit with your experiences, helping you uncover meaning, regain a sense of calm, and build resilience and empowerment in the midst of life’s most profound challenges.
