I am a compassionate and collaborative therapist dedicated to helping individuals navigate life's challenges with greater clarity, resilience, and self-understanding. My practice focuses on supporting clients experiencing depression, anxiety, trauma, women's issues, cultural and identity-related concerns, and attachment challenges. I provide a warm, culturally responsive, and trauma-informed space where clients can explore their experiences, strengthen relationships, and develop meaningful, lasting change. Together, we work to build insight, foster healing, and create a life that feels more authentic and fulfilling.
Your first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other and begin building a strong therapeutic relationship. We'll discuss what brought you to therapy, explore your current concerns, and review your personal history at a pace that feels comfortable for you. We'll also talk about your goals for therapy, answer any questions you have about the process, and work together to develop a plan that aligns with your needs. My goal is to create a supportive, nonjudgmental space where you feel heard, understood, and empowered as we begin your journey toward healing and growth.
I bring empathy, authenticity, and compassion to every session, creating a safe and supportive environment where clients feel seen, heard, and respected. My approach is collaborative, trauma-informed, and culturally responsive, allowing me to tailor therapy to each client's unique experiences, values, and goals. I strive to help clients explore the deeper patterns that influence their emotions, relationships, and sense of self. Above all, I am committed to fostering a trusting therapeutic relationship that supports meaningful growth, healing, and lasting change.
I work with children and adults (ages 6+), adolescents, adults, and older adults from diverse backgrounds who are seeking support through life's challenges. My ideal client is anyone ready to build on their strengths, develop healthy coping skills, and move toward healing and personal growth. My goal is to help you develop practical coping skills, increase self-awareness, reclaim your voice, and create meaningful, lasting change.

Attachment-based
Attachments formed early in life are the basis of how we view ourselves and the world. Issues with trust, self-esteem, substance use, and emotional regulation are signs of an insecure attachment that effect our current relationships. I work with my clients to explore attachment patterns, increase communication skills, set healthy boundaries, and seek corrective experiences.
Grief Therapy
Grief is experienced after many types of loss, including a loved one, pet, physical ability, relationship, of stage of life. I use evidenced based practices to support clients as they cope with the emotional pain of grief and adjust to reality of the loss.
Racial trauma treatment
My approach to treating racial trauma is strengths-based and empowerment-focused. I provide a safe, affirming space where you can process the effects of racism, discrimination, and racial stress without judgment. Together, we'll build on your existing strengths, explore how these experiences have impacted your well-being and sense of self, and use evidence-based approaches such as CBT, ACT, mindfulness, and narrative therapy to foster healing, resilience, self-compassion, and confidence. My goal is to help you reclaim your voice, strengthen your identity, and move forward with greater empowerment and purpose.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is known for its triangle depicting the connection between thoughts, emotions, and behavior. CBT teaches us to challenge the thoughts that are not helpful to us. By challenging unhelpful thoughts, we can influence our behavior and mood. For example, if we feel depressed, we may have an unhelpful thought that “I have the worst life in the world.” We might have the temptation to comfort ourselves with food or struggle with motivation to get things done. But if we challenge the thought “there are some things wrong in my life, but I can problem-solve or get help with the problems I can’t solve.” We feel a little better and a little more motivated to solve problems. CBT is a short-term, solution focused approach useful in treating many mental health conditions, including PTSD, anxiety and depression.

She was very sensitive while listening to me describe my problems. She was also very helpful in directing me to someone who was appropriate for the problems I'm having.
