I am a dedicated Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Therapist with a Master's of Social Work from Aurora University. With over 6 years in the social work field, I have extensive experience working with individuals struggling with mental health issues, depression, anxiety, PTSD, autism, and other behavioral health concerns. I also currently works as a Residential Supervisor managing five residential locations in the Elgin IL area. I work with many individuals who have experienced sexual assaults and sex trafficking. My therapeutic approached is rooted in CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), DBT and interpersonal principles with the goal of being able to help individuals with finding the underlying causes of their behaviors and emotions. I also works with many adolescent clients as well and is licensed by the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS) in Child Welfare.
In our first session I would like for you will tell your story, determine goodness of fit between yourself and I, We will also discuss goals and a treatment plan, and build rapport. Effective long-term progress occurs after these items are established, and cannot occur without these items.
