About me

I'm a licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 17 years of experience working as a therapist and providing services to multi-cultural populations within the community. I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including substance abuse issues, depression, anxiety, relationship issues, parenting problems, and ADHD to name a few. I also helped many people who have experienced physical trauma or emotional abuse.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Our first session together will consist of introductions, what are the expectations, and goals of the session, and begin to create your tailor-made treatment plan.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

My counseling style is energetic, warm and interactive. I believe in treating anyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion, and I don't believe in stigmatizing labels. My approach combines cognitive-behavioral therapy, wholistic, person/family centered thinking, and motivational interviewing. All of my treatment plans are tailored by our dialog during the process to meet your unique and specific needs.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I look forward to working with clients that have the courage to seek for a more fulfilling and happier life and to take the first steps towards a change.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) is a common type of talk therapy (psychotherapy). You work with a mental health counselor (psychotherapist or therapist) in a structured way, attending a limited number of sessions. CBT helps you become aware of inaccurate or negative thinking so you can view challenging situations more clearly and respond to them in a more effective way.
