About me

Hello, and welcome. I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) based in Maryland, dedicated to supporting individuals through life’s challenges with empathy, insight, and evidence-based care. I earned my Master's of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling degree from Johns Hopkins University. With over six years of experience in clinical counseling and nine years in career counseling, I offer a well-rounded perspective that addresses both emotional well-being and professional growth. My approach is collaborative, compassionate, and tailored to meet your unique needs and goals. Whether you're working through anxiety, depression, life transitions, career concerns, or relationship challenges, we will work together to build resilience, foster healing, and create a more balanced, fulfilling life.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session we will start with introductions and discuss the main challenges you are experiencing. In following sessions, we will create an individualized plan with specific therapeutic goals. This plan will help guide future sessions.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I want to provide a safe and supportive environment for my clients. My greatest strength is in listening, developing rapport and trust.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I enjoy working with clients at various stages of life and career, and I welcome people of all backgrounds and ages into the therapy space. That said, I feel especially connected to working with young to midlife adults, as these are often times of transition, self-discovery, and change. Whether you're navigating identity, relationships, career challenges, or mental health concerns, I offer a collaborative and supportive space to explore what’s holding you back and what will help you move forward. As an Indian American immigrant, I also understand the complexities of navigating multiple cultures and the impact this can have on one's sense of self. Many of my clients are coping with anxiety, depression, or ADHD and are feeling overwhelmed or stuck. Together, we develop insight, identify triggers, and build healthier ways of coping—so you can feel more grounded and in control.

My treatment methods

Integrative

I believe that healing requires deepening insight of ourselves and the experiences that impact our everyday lives and relationships. These experiences can result in anxiety, emotional numbness, or relationship challenges. Often clients have also experienced dysfunctional family dynamics and childhood traumas. As a result of these difficult experiences, we develop unhealthy coping strategies and protective behaviors. These behaviors may or may not be helping you understand your experiences and cope in a healthy manner. My passion is in creating a collaborative therapeutic relationship in which you feel safe and understood. The ultimate goal is to help you heal and connect with your authentic self. We will work together to understand how past experiences are impacting you today. Together we can identify and develop more helpful coping strategies. I understand that each person I work with is unique, which is why I utilize a collaborative, integrative, strengths-based approach to therapy. I draw upon aspects of various modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Art Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Solution focused therapy, psychoeducation interventions, and others to best support you. Please reach out if you believe that we could be a good fit. I am happy to schedule a free phone call to discuss your goals in therapy.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy clients uncover distorted unhelpful thought patterns. We also explore the core beliefs from which these thoughts patterns develop. Ultimately, the goal is to increase understanding of cognitive patterns and shift distorted thoughts patterns to ones that are more helpful.

Psychoeducation

It is my goal to provide high quality effective therapeutic services. In order to do this, I strive to stay informed of the latest evidenced-based therapeutic interventions within the mental health field. I pass on this information to clients in therapy. My goal is to provide evidenced-based information and support to help clients better understand and cope with mental health challenges. I often discuss theories and utilize charts/graphs to address specific client concerns. Psychoeducation is a tool to help increase a client's understanding of complex, emotionally charged information and to use this information in a productive manner.

She is an incredibly thoughtful and intelligent therapist who creates a welcoming space to discuss a wide variety of topics. I appreciate how directly she communicates her goals for our work together and clearly explains how she can support me along the way. She also finds meaningful ways to relate to my experiences, which makes our sessions feel genuine and personalized. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a therapist who is insightful, supportive, and intentional in her approach.

This was my first experience with therapy. I've been needing to go for a while. Even after one session I can feel that this is going to be great for me. I appreciate how I was not judged but I was also guided in the right direction and out of the delusions.
