About me

Hello! I am a licensed clinical social worker with over 12 years of experience. In a previous career I worked many years in the technology industry. I chose to practice at Grow because of its commitment to patient care and its innovative use of technology to enhance care experience. My practice style is one of genuineness, warmth and compassion. Together, we can work on the issues you would like to explore. We can discover different ways to approach life's struggles as well as new ways of being in relation to self and others. My intention as a therapist is to offer empathy, compassion, and nurturing support through this transformative process. I will create and hold a safe, non-judgmental environment that makes it possible for your whole self to come forward.

My treatment methods

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

During ACT, I help clients stay focused on the present moment and accept thoughts and feelings without judgment. ACT aims to help clients move forward through difficult emotions so they can put their energy into healing instead of dwelling on the negative. I have over 10 year experience using ACT in both inpatient and outpatient settings.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

During CBT, I help clients take a close look at their thoughts and emotions. They'll come to understand how their thoughts affect their actions. Through CBT, they can unlearn negative thoughts and behaviors and learn to adopt healthier thinking patterns and habits. I have over 10 year experience using CBT in both inpatient and outpatient settings.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

During DBT, I help keep clients safe by reducing suicidal and self-harming behaviors. I also help to limit behaviors that get in the way of productive therapy. In addition, I help clients reach their goals and improve their quality of life by addressing what’s blocking their progress, such as mental health conditions or relationship issues. And lastly, I help clients learn new skills to replace unhelpful behaviors. I have over 10 year experience using DBT in both inpatient and outpatient settings.

I love that he asks a lot of questions, which shows great active listening skills. It makes me feel heard, and also gives me an opportunity and the space to think deeper about a particular topic.
