I am a mindful, somatic therapist. We can: navigate life's challenges with more balance, benefit from accessing more resources. We explore your "just right" healing in the moment. Two of the most important elements are goodness-of-fit and your readiness to heal and grow. I received my license in 2013 and have treated folks from the ages of 20 - 103 years. Welcome to you: upgraded with more peace and confidence!

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

This is the space and time to gently begin to get to know each other. What brings you here, how do we fit, where do we go? We always begin where you are. While you are the driver, we do this together. This session usually last from 30 - 60 minutes.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I am your safe place and space, grounded human connection. I am honored to share in your healing journey! I am deeply-rooted in social work values, especially the importance of human relationships & dignity and worth-of-person. Somatic = body, I often work with the energy of the body to aid in healing. "It can take you years to change your mind, but energy is significantly more receptive and responsive" ~ Lee Holden, Qigong Master.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

My main focus for 15+ years: aging/adjustment issues, cognitive challenges, caregiving, medical issues, depression and anxiety, honoring your abilities and strengths. I also support younger adults, trauma, treating clinicians and reclaiming your personal power to be your best self. So much of life is adjusting to challenges, no matter the age or the issue. "You can't stop the waves but you can learn to surf" ~ Jon Kabat-Zinn, Mindfulness Master.

My treatment methods

Mind-body approach

Thoughts are of the mind, emotions are of the body; they are deeply interconnected. We work with both!

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

Really another practice of mindfulness. Build connection, find focus, reduce stress.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

Engaging the senses to be more rooted and grounded in the present moment.

Compassion Focused

There's nothing "wrong" with any of us .... Self-compassion practices can be deeply healing.
