Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session we will introduce ourselves and I will begin to get to know you. I will ask questions concerning background family history and upbringing leading up to today. This will assist me to get to know you from the start. We will then dive into the concerns which brought you into services. In following sessions, I will utilize cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing (MI), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), along with acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), to name a few. I use various techniques and theories, to help maintain a healthy mental state. I recognize that every individual has a different struggle and may require the utilization of a combination of theories and/or techniques. Therefore, my approach is person centered. I endeavor to assist my clients to set and reach realistic goals that lead to achieve self-actualization. Let’s begin working together to build a healthier and stronger you.

I love working with a wide variety of people. My experience includes working with children and their families, individuals, groups, couples, military and their families, college students, and people of the LGBTQIA+ community. In addition, I have worked in multiple therapeutic settings such as schools, group homes, outpatient clinics, therapeutic day treatment centers, intensive in-home centers, mental health skill building centers, and a plethora of other facilities, with a vast range of clientele.
