Hola! I am a bilingual Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in California (Lic.#132106). I’m a proud first-gen daughter of two Mexican immigrant parents. I provide trauma-informed, culturally responsive therapy that helps individuals and birthing parents heal from the emotional and physical impact of trauma and postpartum experiences. Claro therapy offers a safe, bilingual space where clients can process their stories, rebuild trust in their bodies, and reconnect with the people they love without fear, shame, or judgment.

First session

In our first session, I create space for you to ask any questions you may have. I gather more information about your current needs/struggles and talk about your hopes from our therapy sessions.

Strengths

You don’t have to tell your whole story on day one. We start with safety because healing only happens when you feel safe enough to stay. I honor your culture as part of your healing, not work around it. In addition, I believe healing happens in connection not isolation. That starts with our relationship and extends to the people who matter most in your life.

Ideal clients

My ideal client is someone seeking a safe, inclusive space to feel seen, understood, and supported. I especially work with individuals navigating trauma, anxiety, relationships, identity, or cultural challenges who may have felt misunderstood in traditional therapy settings. Through evidence-based care and cultural understanding, I help clients feel grounded, empowered, and connected throughout their healing journey. We will work collaboratively on your goals and needs through out this process.

Treatment methods

Trauma Informed Care

I believe the best healing is done in relationships, which can be done through the client-therapist relationship or by bringing family members together. Go beyond coping skills. I approach trauma therapy by helping you understand your body’s responses, heal emotional wounds, and build the safety and connection you’ve always needed to move forward. I utilize culturally responsive therapy that integrates evidence based practices such as; TF-CBT, EMDR , CPT etc. and a deep focus on safety and trust.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I have ample experience with CBT. CBT is individualized but we will work collaboratively with specific techniques and pace depend on your needs. First we would identify specific, measurable areas you want to change. We would Identifying thought patterns, challenge thoughts, come up with realistic behavioral strategies, and build long lasting skills you can continue to apply outside of therapy.
