Hi. My name is Beth Marsh and I am a licensed mental health counselor living in Florida. I have been practicing since 2000. I have worked in community mental health, large private practices, small private practices, for a professional medicine department with a local university, fancy residential rehab, and as a case manager for a large insurance company. My clients have been diverse and run the gamut in socio-economic status. I enjoy working with most people. My favorite clients are the ones who are ready for a change in their life…no matter how big or small. I enjoy couples counseling with traditional and non traditional couples. I have had a lot of success with clients with anxiety and depression. Sometimes life throws a lot our way and you need a safe place to think, regroup and make a new plan. I can help with that! I am seminary educated and am a Christian, but you do not have to have the same belief system I do. I understand different cultures and religion and love diversity. In the end, we are all humans trying to do the best we can. If you are struggling with a relationship, anxiety, depression, self esteem or stage of life issues, reach out. You do not have to go it alone and there is hope. I am here.

My favorite clients are the ones who are ready for a change in their life…no matter how big or small.

First session

In our first session together, we will get to know each other and discuss expectations and goals for therapy. We will create a care plan based on what you want from your therapy sessions. I will use a person-centered approach with motivational interviewing to help discover your wants and what’s important to you and for you.

Strengths

My biggest strengths are that I am accepting. I am told I am easy to talk to. I even use humor in therapy. I enjoy working with people and helping people find their best self and solution to problems.

Ideal clients

Ideal clients are clients that are ready for something different in their lives. We all have things to work on. All you need for therapy is the will and ability to make the appointment, show up and be ready for change. I enjoy working with ALL people from Couples, traditional or same sex Anxiety Stage of life issues Family issues Relationship issues Addiction

Treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

CBT therapy is to help you determine how your thinking affects your behaviors. We spend time learning about your processes and I help you change your thinking process to adopt to your situation

I have been with Beth for many years and her insight to how I work and my life in general is invaluable to me. This enables our sessions to be most productive because I don’t have to repeat history or explain my thoughts and motivations to her; she just gets me. I also know she’s going to hold me accountable!

Beth was very relatable but also honest in love. She was reassuring and encouraging while also pointing out where we are missing the mark. She has brought hope back into our relationship.
