Hello! I am glad to meet you and have this chance to introduce myself. I am a licensed clinical social worker who has been practicing for the past three decades. I received my professional training at Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan. I have been providing therapy for about 15 years. I'm also a husband and father of 3 adult kids, 2 dogs and a cat.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session, we will spend time getting to know each other. We will briefly discuss your history and begin to understand what is most important to you. We will identify goals for our work together. My hope is that when you leave this first session you will have increased hope and fresh ideas.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I bring an open minded viewpoint to my work. I have an enthusiastic personality and like to use metaphors and pictures. I also find that a little humor can be helpful at times. My goal as a therapist is to help you build strength, understand patterns, and create positive change in your life.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

My practice focuses on depression, anxiety, grief, and men’s issues. I also provide leadership coaching and development.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is very effective in the treatment of depression, anxiety, worry and trauma recovery. It helps people to understand how unhelpful thoughts can impact our feelings and actions. I have been using this method of therapy for 15 years. I also use CBT in my leadership coaching and development work.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is a form of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy that specifically helps individuals to develop skills in four areas: 1) Mindfulness 2) Interpersonal Effectiveness 3) Emotion Regulation 4) Distress Tolerance. Like CBT, DBT is very helpful in the treatment of depression, anxiety and trauma. It also helps with the management of self harm urges and actions. I have 7 years of experience providing DBT in both individual and group formats.
