Lee Gilman
Welcome! I am a licensed therapist dedicated to providing a safe, compassionate, and non-judgmental space where you can explore life’s challenges and work toward meaningful growth. My practice focuses on helping individuals navigate anxiety, major life transitions, relationship dynamics, and personal identity. I utilize an integrative, evidence-based approach tailored to your unique needs, combining cognitive-behavioral techniques with mindfulness and humanistic care. Together, we will build actionable coping strategies, foster self-compassion, and empower you to live a more fulfilling, aligned life.
First session
Your initial visits are our chance to untangle the first threads together. Through a bit of psychological excavation, my goal is to truly understand and connect to your inner world. We’ll use this time for a thorough assessment, exploring your history, discussing any mental health diagnoses that might help guide our roadmap, and identifying your goals. I typically like to see you weekly at the start so we can make real, stabilizing progress right out of the gate.
Strengths
I bring a balanced, integrated approach of empathetic, active listening to hold space for your emotions, combined with practical, direct guidance to help you challenge unhelpful patterns and achieve real progress. Along with an occasional painful dad joke for added levity.
Ideal clients
I work best with individuals and couples seeking to better understand their emotions, untangle complex relationship dynamics, and build healthier communication styles. They are motivated to look beneath the surface, break recurring cycles, and cultivate greater self-awareness. Whether working through grief, identity shifts, or relationship challenges, they value a compassionate, collaborative space to do meaningful personal work. They appreciate an empathetic yet interactive approach, coming to therapy with a willingness to learn new tools, challenge unhelpful habits, and align their daily lives with their core values.
