About me

Welcome, and thank you for taking this important first step. My name is Arany Orellana, and I am a licensed Clinical Social Worker in the States of Florida, Oregon, and Washington State, with 19 years of experience supporting adults facing mental health challenges. I am fluent in English and Spanish. I offer a safe, compassionate space where you can feel heard, supported, and understood. My goal is to empower you as you build self-compassion, personal growth, and a more fulfilling life. Together, we'll explore that matters most to you and how to move forward with clarity and confidence.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

During our first session, we will discuss the nature of therapy, what your expectations may be, and the role I will play as your therapist. You will have the opportunity to share challenges you are currently facing and information about your life. This will allow us to build a rapport and work on identifying goals you want to work on during this process.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

My greatest strength is creating a compassionate, non-judgmental space where you feel truly seen, heard, and supported. I approach therapy with empathy, cultural sensitivity, and respect for your unique story and pace. Together, we work to help you heal, gain clarity, and reconnect with what matters most, so you can build a more meaningful and fulfilling life. I currently offer online therapy session for clients in Florida, Oregon, and Washington State.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

My ideal clients are creative individuals who may feel misunderstood and are looking for a safe, supportive space to express themselves authentically. I work with clients navigating life transitions, anxiety, depression, self-esteem concerns, mood challenges, relationship issues, trauma, stress, grief, and women's health-related concerns. Many clients seek greater emotional clarity, confidence, and healthier relationships, and we work together to build skills that support balance, resilience, and personal growth.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use this treatment method to help clients identify and change negative thought patterns and behaviors by teaching them practical skills to manage their emotions and improve their well-being.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

I use Dialectical Behavior Therapy to help clients manage intense emotions, improve relationships, and reduce self-destructive behaviors by teaching skills in mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotion regulation, and interpersonal effectiveness.

Eclectic

I use Eclectic Therapy in my practice by combining elements from different therapeutic approaches to tailor treatment to each client's unique needs and preferences. This Allows me to draw from a variety of techniques and strategies to best support my client's goals and challenges.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

I use this treatment method to help clients develop awareness and acceptance of the present moment, reducing stress and enhancing emotional regulation. This approach often includes practices like meditation, mindful breathing, and mindful observation to help clients cultivate a non-judgmental awareness of their thoughts and feelings.

I liked that Arany gave me opportunities to reflect more deeply on my issues. She offered me questions I had never asked myself before and then allowed me to think about my answers for next session. She's also introduced me to new terms and has provided me the vocabulary to understand more deeply what I've been attempting to articulate as challenges for my mental health.
