Greetings! I am Lauro Guzman; I am a down-to-earth clinician, and my goal is to help you better understand and resolve challenges in your life. We first complete an evaluation to gather relevant information about your past and your current circumstances. We can then look for the source of your problem or identify behavior patterns that may be keeping you back from a healthy, balanced life.

I combine warmth, compassion, and humor with cognitive behaviroal therapys. My sessions are designed to feel like a supportive, two-sided conversation, allowing room for genuine connection, reflection, and growth.

The ability to sense what a client needs, even when it's not explicitly stated, and to respond with a calm, steady approach that helps clients feel accepted and valued, allowing for more authentic self-exploration.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
I work wth individuals ages 18 to 100 who struggle with depresison, anxiety, stress and life challenges. The goal is to identify an issue, together discuss and analyze the problem, work on processing and then working to resolve it.

I work collaboratively with clients to identify and challenge unhelpful thoughts and behaviors that contribute to problems, using techniques like cognitive restructuring and subsequent behavioral changes. A typical session may involve setting a shared agenda, discussing difficult situations, and discussing new skills, with the client completing assigned "homework" to reinforce learning between sessions
