Most people don't need more advice. They need clarity. I'm Josh, a Licensed Professional Counselor with 12 years of experience helping adults cut through the noise — the overthinking, the emotional cycles, the stuck feeling that tells you something has to change. My approach is direct and practical: we figure out what's actually going on, build a concrete plan, and get to work. Whether you're managing anxiety, navigating a rough stretch, or just ready to operate differently, I'll give you real tools — not just a space to vent. If you're ready to move, so am I.
Our first session will be focused on getting acquainted and gathering the necessary information to identify your goals for therapy. This session will last around 60 minutes. Subsequent sessions will follow the plan we have created to help you reach your desired outcomes and get you back to being your best self.
I build trust quickly — not by being warm for warmth's sake, but by being straight with you from session one. People tend to open up faster when they feel heard and know they won't be judged, so that's the environment I create. But comfort isn't the goal. Clarity is. My strength is helping you cut through the noise of your own thinking — taking what feels tangled or overwhelming and turning it into something you can actually work with. You know your life better than I ever will. My job is to help you see it more clearly and give you the tools to change what isn't working.
I work best with adults who are self-aware enough to know something needs to change — and motivated enough to do something about it. That might look like anxiety or depression that's worn out your usual coping, a major life transition with no clear path forward, or a pattern of overthinking and emotional cycles you're ready to finally break. You might be someone who holds it all together on the outside but is running on empty underneath. What my clients have in common isn't a diagnosis — it's a willingness to show up, do the work between sessions, and trade venting for real momentum. If that's you, we'll work well together.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
Over the course of my career, I have most frequently used Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to help my clients. I believe that changing thinking, helps change behavior and this occurs by making connections between your thoughts, behavior, and feelings.
Interpersonal
Another approach that I use in my sessions in an Interpersonal Approach to therapy, which helps with resolving interpersonal conflicts, improving communication skills, and enhancing interpersonal relationships.

I appreciate Josh's approach to therapy. I made an out of the box decision selecting him as my therapist, and I have no regrets! He focuses on goals, listens, and provides positive feedback! He is knowledgeable and speaks on topics from a practical sense. I Highly recommend Josh to anyone that is looking for a direct/authentic therapist!

The first session with Josh was amazing. He listened and gave appropriate constructive feedback for my situation. He seems to have a good head on his shoulders and I'm hopeful that working with him can really make a difference for me.

Josh's ability to take disjoint information, summarize, and come up with a solid framework to allow you to explore and determine a viable solution is palpable
