My treatment methods

EMDR

Trained by the EMDR Institute, Inc., I have been practicing EMDR therapy for over 15 years. With EMDR, I provide a safe and supportive space for clients to process trauma and overwhelming emotions, rather than hiding from them. Through this process, many of my clients experience lasting relief from trauma symptoms and intense emotions they may have carried for years.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

With Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), you will learn new ways of viewing the world and your experiences. Together, we’ll explore practical skills and strategies to shift unhelpful thought patterns and develop healthier ways of understanding yourself and your life.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

Have you ever felt like you know logically that it doesn’t make sense to feel the way you do—yet the anxiety, sadness, or fear just won’t stop? Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) focuses directly on emotions themselves. It helps us understand what our feelings mean and teaches us practical ways to work with them, instead of being controlled by them.

Michelle is not only kind, she is very thoughtful. I know that she is actively listening and trying to understand my world so that we can find a way to make it safer and more peaceful for me to live in. She has been very helpful in guiding my self reflection journey and working with me towards healing both with cognitive therapy and now EMDR. Self growth is difficult, but Michelle has been instrumental in making sure, for the first time ever, I don’t feel like I have to do it alone anymore.
