New to Grow
I provide counseling for children, teens, and young adults in a supportive, collaborative environment where clients feel safe, heard, and understood. My approach is strengths-based, developmentally appropriate, and sensitive to past experiences. In therapy, I help clients build emotional awareness, coping skills, and confidence so they can better manage stress, big emotions, relationships, and everyday challenges. My goal is to support meaningful, lasting change by giving clients practical tools they can use in real life. In addition to counseling, I offer comprehensive psychological evaluations to help families better understand concerns related to attention and focus (ADHD), autism, learning differences, emotional regulation, anxiety, mood challenges, and executive functioning skills such as organization and self-control. These evaluations are thorough but easy to understand and highlight both strengths and areas needing support. When appropriate, I provide clear diagnoses along with practical, individualized recommendations that families and schools can use right away.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
During our first session, we focus on creating a safe, welcoming space where you feel heard and supported. We’ll discuss what brings you in, your goals for therapy, and any relevant background information at a pace that feels comfortable for you. I’ll explain how therapy typically works, answer any questions you may have, and collaborate with you to determine next steps. You can expect a balance of listening, gentle guidance, and practical discussion; there is no pressure to share more than you’re ready for. By the end of the session, most clients leave with greater clarity, reassurance, and a clear plan moving forward.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
My greatest strengths lie in my ability to combine clinical expertise with a warm, connection-centered approach. I integrate evidence-based practices with a deep understanding of family systems, child development, and neurodiversity, allowing treatment to be both effective and individualized. Clients often appreciate my collaborative style, clear communication, and focus on practical strategies that can be used in everyday life. I am especially skilled at helping individuals and families better understand behaviors, strengthen emotional regulation, and build meaningful, sustainable change through insight, structure, and compassion.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
I’m passionate about helping children, teens, adults, and families understand themselves more deeply so they can grow, heal, and thrive. My work centers on providing comprehensive psychological evaluations, parent coaching, therapy, and school advocacy, always with compassion, clarity, and a genuine commitment to the people I serve.
Psychodynamic
My psychodynamic work focuses on understanding how early experiences, attachment patterns, and unconscious processes influence current thoughts, emotions, and relationships. I integrate this approach to help clients gain deeper insight, recognize recurring patterns, and create meaningful, lasting change rather than surface-level symptom relief.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I use CBT to help clients identify and modify unhelpful thought patterns and behaviors that contribute to emotional distress. My expertise lies in applying CBT in a developmentally appropriate, flexible way, pairing evidence-based techniques with practical tools clients can use to improve daily functioning and emotional regulation.
