About me

My name is Rhea Caudill. I am the owner of Avenues of Grace Christian Therapy Services. I have been practicing as a Marriage and Family Therapist for 17 years - being fully licensed (independent) for the last 4 1/2 years. I work with individuals, couples, children, and families as a whole. I prefer to use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy; however, I am open to other modalities too if CBT doesn't fit my client.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

The first session is about gathering information so that I can understand how and why we are where we are at the moment. The first session is a great time to learn more about the client and to gain understanding and empathy regarding their life/situation.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I feel that I am an easy person to talk to. I prefer for my sessions to feel like you are talking to your best friend while maintaining appropriate and professional boundaries as a therapist/client relationship. When appropriate, I try to add some humor into the session while helping you to process through your situation or feelings.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

The ideal client would be one who is ready for change and open to trying healthy coping skills. The ideal client would be one who sees that they are struggling with their emotions or family situations and realize that they need help. I typically work with heterosexual couples on their marriage or individuals with high anxiety or depression. I am able to also work with other issues that the client may need to deal with.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy seems to work to help with most issues. It is about figuring out why you feel the way you do or act the way you do and then working to change how the brain works around that issue and then work to find a healthier way to deal with it or one that is less stressful.

Faith based therapy

For those who are seeking more of a Christian perspective, I will incorporate The Bible into the sessions and help the client to understand how God sees the issue and find a healthy, Christian response to the issue.
