As a licensed mental health professional based in California, I specialize in providing compassionate and individualized care for clients dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma, and complex family dynamics. Drawing from a rich background for the last 13 years in evidence-based therapies like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Trauma-Informed Care, and family systems approaches, I empower my clients to navigate life's challenges and improve their relationships. My practice is centered around fostering a supportive and understanding environment where clients can explore, grow, and heal. Through a blend of clinical expertise and holistic lifestyle strategies, I guide individuals and families towards lasting change, enhancing their well-being and resilience. The impact of my work is reflected in the renewed hope, strengthened relationships, and positive life transformations experienced by those I serve.
During the first session with me as your psychotherapist, you can expect a structured and welcoming experience designed to establish a strong foundation for our therapeutic relationship. Here's what you can anticipate: * Introduction and Welcome: I'll start by warmly welcoming you to the session, introducing myself, and providing some general information about the therapeutic process. * Confidentiality and Informed Consent: I will explain the principles of confidentiality and obtain your informed consent for therapy, ensuring that you understand your rights and responsibilities as clients. * Exploration of Concerns: We will spend a significant portion of the session discussing your reasons for seeking therapy, the issues or challenges you are facing, and any immediate concerns you would like to address. * History and Background: I'll inquire about your personal history, family dynamics, and relevant life experiences to gain a comprehensive understanding of your background. * Goal Setting: We will collaboratively discuss your goals and expectations for therapy, establishing a clear understanding of what you hope to achieve. * Therapeutic Approach: I'll briefly explain the therapeutic approaches and techniques that may be used in our sessions, tailoring them to your specific needs. * Questions and Clarifications: I encourage you to ask any questions or seek clarification on the therapeutic process, expectations, or any concerns you may have. * Building Rapport: Building a trusting and comfortable rapport is a priority. I'll actively listen, show empathy, and create a safe space for you to express yourself. * Session Logistics: We'll discuss practical details such as session frequency, duration, and any administrative matters related to appointments and fees. * Next Steps: Before concluding the session, we'll discuss what to expect in subsequent sessions and any homework or self-reflection exercises, if applicable. Overall, the first session is a crucial opportunity for you to begin sharing your experiences and for me to better understand your needs. It sets the stage for a collaborative and supportive therapeutic journey aimed at helping you achieve your goals and improve your well-being.
I bring a straightforward, structured, and calm approach to therapy, helping clients feel supported while staying focused on meaningful progress. My path to becoming a therapist was shaped by early life experiences that taught me the value of resilience, responsibility, and emotional support. I meet clients where they are, provide emotional support, and create a safe, nonjudgmental space where they can feel heard and understood. I believe therapy is not one-size-fits-all, so I tailor my approach to each client’s unique needs, drawing from evidence-based techniques to help them build insight, strengthen coping skills, and create lasting change.
I work best with individuals who are committed to change and ready to actively engage in therapy. My ideal clients may be struggling with trauma, anxiety, depression, stress, or life transitions, and are looking for support as they work toward healing and personal growth. They are often open to self-reflection, willing to learn new coping strategies, and motivated to make meaningful changes in their lives.

Trauma-Focused CBT
I draw from Trauma-Focused CBT techniques to support individuals working through the impact of trauma in a safe, structured, and compassionate environment. This evidence-based approach can help clients understand how trauma affects thoughts, emotions, and behaviors while building practical tools for healing. My work may include psychoeducation, relaxation skills, emotional regulation, cognitive coping, and processing difficult experiences at a pace that feels manageable. My goal is to help clients reduce trauma-related distress, build resilience, and regain a greater sense of control and safety in their lives.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy techniques to help clients better understand the connection between their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. This approach can help individuals identify unhelpful thought patterns, challenge self-defeating beliefs, and develop healthier ways of coping. My work may include cognitive restructuring, behavioral activation, and practical problem-solving strategies to support emotional well-being and lasting change. I aim to help clients build tools they can use in everyday life long after therapy ends.
Internal Family Systems (IFS)
I incorporate IFS-informed techniques to help clients better understand and relate to the different parts of themselves with greater compassion and clarity. This approach can be especially helpful for individuals struggling with trauma, anxiety, self-criticism, or internal conflict. Together, we may explore protective patterns, wounded parts, and the deeper emotions that may be contributing to distress, while strengthening self-awareness and inner balance. This work can help reduce shame, increase self-understanding, and support healing.
Motivational Interviewing
I use Motivational Interviewing techniques to help clients explore ambivalence, strengthen motivation, and move toward meaningful change. This collaborative and nonjudgmental approach can be especially helpful when clients feel stuck, uncertain, or conflicted about taking the next step. Through guided conversation, I help clients identify their own reasons for change, build confidence, and reconnect with their values and goals. My role is to support clients in making choices that feel authentic, empowering, and sustainable.
Solution Focused Brief Treatment
I draw from Solution-Focused Brief Therapy techniques to help clients identify what is already working and build on their existing strengths. Rather than focusing only on problems, I help clients clarify their goals, recognize their resilience, and take practical steps toward meaningful change. I may use strategies such as scaling questions and identifying exceptions to help clients notice progress and build confidence in their ability to move forward. This approach supports hope, empowerment, and achievable growth.

Tram has been such a joy to work with. I always leave every session feeling lighter and with something meaningful to take away. She really challenges me to see things from a better perspective, and I’ve gained so much clarity through our time together. I love how honest and straightforward she is, it’s helped me grow and move through things I once felt stuck in. I’ve accomplished so much of what I came for, and I’m leaving with a lot of wisdom and understanding thanks to Tram.
