LPC, 10 years of experience
I’m Angela K. Eaglin, LPC, NCC, BSP, a Licensed Professional Counselor and Brainspotting Level II practitioner. My work bridges clinical skill with social impact. I believe every client is the expert in their own life, and my role is to partner with you to identify strengths, dismantle barriers, and foster growth. Guided by compassion, equality, and effective altruism, I create a supportive space for meaningful healing and change.
During our first session, we’ll focus on building rapport and defining what healing looks like for you. We’ll discuss your goals, needs, and what approaches feel most supportive. I’ll introduce options for both traditional and non-traditional evidence-based methods, and together we’ll create a plan that aligns with your values and pace. The aim is to establish trust, comfort, and clarity from the very beginning.
My strengths lie in my integrative and culturally responsive approach. I combine evidence-based modalities with deep respect for each client’s lived experience, culture, and identity. I’m known for meeting clients where they are literally and figuratively offering therapy in ways that feel safe, authentic, and accessible. Clients often describe my sessions as grounding, insightful, and transformative, with a balance of empathy and practical direction.
I work best with clients seeking growth, healing, and self-understanding, particularly those navigating intergenerational trauma, racial or cultural identity challenges, anxiety, depression, motherhood stress, or recovery from narcissistic abuse or intimate partner violence. I also support survivors of sexual trauma, activists, Indigenous communities, and professionals experiencing burnout or compassion fatigue. My ideal clients value authenticity and are ready to explore both traditional and holistic paths to wellness.
I view therapy as a collaborative process where you are an equal partner in your healing journey. You know yourself best and my role is to guide, support, and empower you to take control of your life. Together, we’ll work toward strengthening self-awareness, confidence, and courage so you can become the author of your own story.
As an integrative therapist, I draw from a wide range of empirically supported modalities to tailor each session to your individual needs. We will identify maladaptive thoughts, behaviors, and patterns that may be impacting your daily life and relationships. From there, we’ll work toward processing and resolving current challenges with strategies that promote balance, insight, and sustainable growth.
Racial trauma requires an approach that acknowledges both systemic and personal experiences. Together, we will explore how macro-level forces—such as institutional and symbolic racism—intersect with micro-level experiences of discrimination, internalized oppression, and racialized violence. By addressing these layers, clients can begin to process pain, reclaim identity, and restore wellness across emotional, psychological, and spiritual dimensions.
Brainspotting is a powerful, body-based therapeutic approach that uses specific eye positions (“brainspots”) to access and process deeply held emotions and memories. By engaging the body’s natural healing mechanisms, Brainspotting helps clients release trauma, enhance performance, and deepen self-awareness. This method is both gentle and profound—supporting recovery from trauma, anxiety, depression, and chronic stress while fostering personal growth and emotional regulation.
I frequently use REBT to help clients identify self-defeating thoughts and emotions, challenge irrational beliefs, and replace them with healthier, more adaptive patterns. This present-focused approach empowers clients to recognize how unproductive thinking can lead to emotional distress and self-sabotaging behaviors. Through insight and practice, clients learn to respond more effectively to life’s challenges, improving both personal and professional relationships and fostering long-term resilience.

While highly intelligent, she excels in never making me feel like I did things wrong, badly or suboptimally, which i worry about most of the time with others, but with her I never get that, despite ending up in situations which would've triggered it normally. I know I've made mistakes but somehow it doesn't matter with her; progress is progress even if slow and steady.
