About me

I’m a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with more than 17 years of experience helping adults overcome anxiety, depression, trauma, addiction, neurodivergence, and life’s many challenges. My approach is compassionate, practical, and evidence-based, while recognizing that every person’s story is unique. Whether you’re seeking emotional healing, personal growth, or faith-integrated counseling, I’m committed to helping you build lasting change in a safe and supportive environment. Along with being a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), I'm an ADHD-Clinical Service Provider (ADHD-CSP), Autism Spectrum Disorder Clinical Specialist (ASDCS), and a Master Certified Addiction Specialist (MCAP). I'm near completion of a Doctorate in Psychology (PsyD).

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Beginning therapy can feel intimidating, but our first session is simply a conversation. We’ll spend time getting to know one another, discussing what brings you to counseling, exploring your strengths and current challenges, and identifying meaningful goals. My goal is for you to leave your first session feeling heard, understood, and hopeful about the path ahead.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

My clients appreciate that I combine warmth and compassion with honest, practical feedback. My background includes more than 17 years in mental health, addiction treatment, leadership, and crisis intervention, allowing me to understand people from many walks of life. I tailor therapy to each individual while drawing from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Motivational Interviewing, psychodynamic concepts, positive psychology, and strengths-based approaches. Rather than simply listening, I help clients develop practical skills and meaningful insight that create lasting change. I have graduate degrees in Mental Health Counseling and in Christian Studies, and I'm near completion of a Doctorate in Psychology (PsyD). For those who desire it, I also offer thoughtfully integrated Christian counseling that respects both psychological science and biblical faith.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

My ideal clients are adults navigating life transitions, anxiety, depression, stress, relationship challenges, grief, trauma, ADHD, autism, or addiction recovery. Many are seeking greater emotional balance, healthier relationships, and a stronger sense of purpose. They are motivated to better understand themselves, develop practical coping skills, be challenged, and create lasting change. I provide a collaborative, compassionate, and evidence-based approach tailored to each person’s unique goals, values, and experiences. I tend to use psychodynamic approaches along with positive psychology, focusing on gratitude at times. Faith can also be thoughtfully integrated into therapy for those who desire it.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I help clients identify unhelpful thoughts and behaviors, develop healthier ways of thinking, and learn practical skills they can use to better manage life’s challenges.

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

I help clients accept difficult thoughts and emotions without letting them control their lives, while taking meaningful steps toward the life they want to live.

Motivational Interviewing

I work alongside clients to explore their goals, strengthen their motivation for change, and build confidence in taking the next steps at their own pace.

Psychodynamic

I help clients understand how past experiences and long-standing patterns may be influencing their current emotions, relationships, and decisions so they can move forward with greater awareness.

Christian Counseling

For clients who request it, I integrate Christian faith and psychology, along with biblical principles, into therapy while providing evidence-based care that supports emotional, relational, and spiritual growth.
