Shoma Vyas
Hi. I'm Shoma. I’m a warm, engaging, and empowering therapist who enjoys working with adults navigating life transitions, career shifts, relationship changes, burnout, anxiety, and questions of identity and purpose. My approach is direct yet supportive, helping clients gain clarity, reconnect with themselves, and move forward with greater confidence and intention.
If you’re ready to feel grounded, clear, and in control, I invite you to reach out.
First session
I want our first session to be as inviting and comfortable as possible. To give you an idea, we'll spend time getting to know each other - brief introductions and background including understanding what brought you in and why now. You’re welcome to ask me anything about how I work. After that we’ll go over the practical details like confidentiality and scheduling and get into your goals for therapy. You’ll leave with a sense of direction and a concrete plan for our work together.
Strengths
I won’t just listen—I’ll help you connect patterns, build awareness, and take meaningful steps forward. Therapy with me is a space where you can slow down, be honest, and start making decisions that actually align with you. If you’re ready to feel grounded, clear, and in control, I invite you to reach out. Schedule your first session and let's talk about your goals.
Ideal clients
You’re used to being capable, driven, and high-functioning—but lately, you feel stuck, overwhelmed, or disconnected from yourself. You might find yourself asking: “Why doesn’t this feel right anymore?” “What do I actually want next?” This is the kind of work I specialize in. I help high-functioning adults who are going through life and identity transitions. If you’re navigating a major life transition: a career shift, burnout, a relationship change, or simply a growing sense that the life you’ve built no longer fits, I'm your ally to help empower you through change.
Origin story
Before becoming a therapist, I spent over a decade in corporate America, giving me a firsthand understanding of the pressures of success and the challenges of balancing high performance with personal fulfillment. I know what it’s like to keep showing up, achieving, and meeting expectations while privately questioning your path or feeling disconnected from yourself. I bring that lived professional perspective into my work, creating a space where clients feel understood, supported, and empowered to make meaningful changes.
Ongoing work together
Each session has a simple rhythm: we check in, review what you tried since we last met, and focus on one practical skill or challenge. Between sessions, you’ll have small, manageable exercises to try in your everyday life. That’s where much of the real progress happens. As you gain confidence, you’ll take more of the lead, using these tools on your own. We’ll plan for future challenges so you feel prepared for whatever comes next. When you’re ready, we’ll space sessions further apart. The goal isn’t for you to need therapy forever. It’s for you to leave with skills you can rely on for life.
Treatment methods
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
