New to Grow
After navigating life's own challenges, to fulfill my passion for helping others I became a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the state of Indiana. During Virtual Sessions I provide compassionate, knowledgeable care grounded in both professional expertise and genuine understanding. My approach is rooted in Person-Centered Therapy, offering a safe, nonjudgmental, and empathetic space where adolescents and adults can heal, grow, and discover their own path toward a healthier, more fulfilling life.
Beginning therapy can feel overwhelming, especially if it is your first time. My goal is to create a safe, welcoming, and nonjudgmental space where you feel comfortable sharing your thoughts, feelings, and experiences. Through empathetic listening, compassion, and genuine understanding, we will begin building a trusting therapeutic relationship at a pace that feels right for you. During our first session, we will spend time getting to know one another. I will complete a comprehensive initial assessment to better understand your concerns, personal history, strengths, and current challenges. This assessment helps me develop an accurate diagnosis, when appropriate, and ensures we create a treatment plan that is tailored to your individual needs. Therapy is a collaborative process. My role is to provide support, guidance, and evidence-based interventions while honoring your experiences, values, and goals. Together, we will work toward healing, personal growth, and improving your overall quality of life.
Having navigated my own life challenges, I understand that healing is not always a straight path. While every person's journey is unique, my personal experiences have deepened my empathy, compassion, and understanding of the emotional struggles many individuals face. My lived experience is complemented by a strong educational foundation and 18 years of experience in the mental health field, including 8 years as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor. Throughout my career, I have worked with adolescents and adults experiencing trauma, anxiety, depression, substance use, life transitions, and other mental health challenges. Above all, I strive to create a safe, nonjudgmental space where you feel heard, respected, and understood.
I enjoy working with adolescents and adults who are navigating the effects of past trauma, difficult life experiences, or major life transitions that have contributed to emotional or mental health challenges. Whether you are feeling overwhelmed by anxiety, depression, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), substance use concerns, or simply finding it difficult to cope with life's demands, I provide a compassionate and supportive environment where healing can begin. I have extensive experience helping individuals process trauma, build healthy coping skills, and develop greater self-awareness while working toward meaningful and lasting change. My person-centered approach allows therapy to move at your pace while incorporating evidence-based interventions that are tailored to your unique needs and goals. I also have a strong background working with college students as they adjust to the academic, social, and personal challenges that often accompany this stage of life. Whether you are managing stress, relationship concerns, identity development, or increased anxiety, I strive to provide practical support and guidance during this important transition.

My approach to therapy is rooted in Person-Centered Therapy, which means I believe the therapeutic relationship is one of the most important factors in the healing process. Through empathy, compassion, and genuine understanding, I support you in exploring your thoughts, emotions, and experiences at a pace that feels comfortable for you. I also practice from a trauma-informed perspective, recognizing the impact that trauma can have on emotional, physical, and psychological well-being. Trauma-informed care focuses on promoting safety, trust, collaboration, and empowerment while helping to reduce the risk of re-traumatization. My goal is to ensure that therapy feels supportive and respectful throughout your healing journey. I consider myself an eclectic therapist, meaning I do not believe in a one-size-fits-all approach to counseling. Every individual brings unique experiences, strengths, values, and goals into therapy. Rather than following a single method for every client, I tailor treatment by thoughtfully combining evidence-based approaches to best support your specific needs. Together, we will develop an individualized treatment plan that builds on your strengths, addresses your concerns, and supports your personal goals. My role is to walk alongside you with compassion, clinical expertise, and encouragement as you work toward healing, resilience, and a greater sense of well-being.
