About me

Hi! My name is Lauren and I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Baltimore, MD. I am currently pursuing my Doctor of Social Work (DSW) at Morgan State University. I have over four years of experience providing therapy, along with a professional background in crisis intervention services. My passion for this work grew through serving young people and seeing firsthand the difference it can make when someone feels heard, supported, and understood. I specialize in working with teens and young adults navigating anxiety, depression, stress, self-esteem, relationships, identity, family dynamics, and life transitions. My approach is supportive, relatable, and practical, incorporating DBT skills, Motivational Interviewing, supportive therapy, and trauma-informed care based on each client’s needs. My goal is to help you recognize your strengths, better understand yourself, and develop tools that support meaningful growth and lasting change.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Your first session is about getting comfortable, getting to know each other, and understanding what brought you to therapy. We’ll talk about what’s been going on, what you’d like to change, and what you hope to gain from our time together. You don’t have to have everything figured out or know exactly what to say. My goal is to create a judgment-free space where you can be yourself, feel heard, and begin identifying goals that feel realistic and meaningful to you.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

One of my strengths is creating a space where therapy feels like a real conversation. You can show up as your complete self without feeling like you have to say the “right” thing or be anyone other than who you are. I bring honesty, humor, support, and a judgment-free approach while also challenging you when needed to help you grow and move forward.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

My ideal client is a teen or young adult who may be feeling overwhelmed, stuck, misunderstood, or simply trying to figure life out. You may be navigating anxiety, depression, relationships, family expectations, self-esteem, identity, or major life changes. You don’t have to have it all figured out, you just need to be open to showing up, being real, and taking steps toward becoming the person you want to be.

My treatment methods

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

I use DBT skills to help you better understand and manage your emotions, handle stressful situations, improve relationships, and communicate your needs in healthier ways. Together, we’ll practice practical tools you can use in everyday life to respond to challenges with more confidence and control.

Trauma Informed Care

I use a trauma-informed approach to create a space where you feel safe, respected, and in control of your healing. We’ll explore how past experiences may be impacting you today without forcing you to share before you’re ready. We’ll move at your pace while building trust, coping skills, and a greater sense of empowerment.

Supportive

I use a supportive approach to meet you where you are and create a space where you feel heard, understood, and accepted. Through honest conversations, encouragement, and gentle challenges, I’ll help you recognize your strengths, work through difficult moments, and feel more confident moving forward.

Motivational Interviewing

I use Motivational Interviewing to help you explore what matters to you, identify what may be holding you back, and find your own reasons for making change. Rather than telling you what to do, we’ll work together to build motivation, recognize your strengths, and take steps toward the goals that matter to you.
