Hello and welcome to therapy. I offer a conversational style of therapy where we explore your concerns and needs from the very beginning. As a licensed psychotherapist with experience in therapy and corporate coaching, I help clients move from overwhelm and burnout to feeling grounded, clear, and capable. Here’s how I can support you: Are you experiencing life stress, anxiety, and change? If you feel mentally exhausted or overwhelmed, we’ll work together to ease anxiety and help you feel steadier and more in control. I also support neurodivergent adults, including those with ADHD, using practical, realistic strategies tailored to their needs. Are you struggling with work stress, burnout, and career transitions? If work feels draining, uncertain, or unsustainable, you don’t have to navigate it alone. With a doctorate in organizational leadership and years of corporate coaching and training experience, I help professionals manage workplace stress, make effective decisions, clarify career goals, and communicate more effectively at work. Are you needed personal development or life coaching? If you’re repeating the same struggles or feeling uncertain about what comes next, we can find a new way forward. Together, we’ll build healthier habits, navigate challenges more effectively, and help you feel more confident and authentic in your life. My approach is warm, grounded, and practical. Clients often say they feel truly heard and leave sessions with clear, useful next steps—not just insight. We’ll move at a pace that feels comfortable while focusing on what helps you feel better and function more effectively in daily life. I offer daytime, evening, and weekend appointments. You’re welcome to book directly—I look forward to working with you.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

From our very first session, we’ll begin building a strong foundation for meaningful and effective therapy. This initial meeting gives us an opportunity to get to know one another, establish trust, explore your concerns, and identify what you hope to gain from therapy. It’s completely normal to arrive feeling a mix of emotions, including nervousness, uncertainty, hope, or relief. I strive to create a warm, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where you feel safe, heard, and understood. We’ll begin with a brief overview of the therapy process. You may be asked to complete consent forms or intake questionnaires that provide helpful information about your background, current concerns, and goals. During our conversation, I’ll seek to understand what brought you to therapy and learn about relevant experiences, symptoms, relationships, family dynamics, and any previous treatment. Together, we’ll establish therapy goals that reflect your needs and priorities. These goals will serve as a flexible roadmap, helping us guide our work and recognize your progress over time. You’ll also have plenty of room to ask questions, share concerns, and discuss what would help therapy feel most useful and comfortable for you. Toward the end of the session, I’ll summarize what we’ve discussed, recommend possible next steps, and work with you to schedule future appointments. I invite you to bring topics to each therapy session as we work through your goals and needs. I also maintain a library of practical learning materials to help you understand new ideas, visualize next steps, and develop helpful strategies. After our first session, I may send you customized worksheets or resources to provide additional support between appointments.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

As a doctoral-level clinician, I bring extensive experience in both personal growth and workplace dynamics. I specialize in helping adults move from feeling stuck or overwhelmed to feeling clearer, more confident, and back on track. My approach is grounded and straightforward, with just the right amount of humor, and focused on making meaningful progress in the areas that matter most to you. I believe therapy should have direction and purpose. Along with thoughtful conversation and insight, I offer practical tools and evidence-based strategies that help you turn what you learn into action. Depending on your needs, our work may include: The DISC Assessment: Gain valuable insight into your communication style, strengths, and potential blind spots—helpful for navigating personal relationships and professional environments. The Emotional Intelligence (EQ) Assessment: Available upon request, this assessment offers a personalized look at how you understand and manage emotions, communicate with others, and build stronger relationships. Coaching worksheets: Receive practical, fillable exercises designed to help you work through challenges, apply new strategies, and recognize your growth between sessions. Therapy with me is active, focused, and tailored to your life. Whether you’re navigating relationship strain, a major transition, personal stress, or workplace challenges, we’ll use our time together to build clarity, resilience, and lasting change.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Feeling anxious or overwhelmed? You don’t have to go through it alone. I’m here to help you quiet the noise, ease your anxiety, and find more peace in your everyday life. Together, we’ll work to understand what’s fueling your worry and build practical tools that bring real relief. Through Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), we'll explore how your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors are connected, empowering you to take control of your mental health. Together, we’ll identify negative thought patterns and challenge them with evidence, building positive self-talk to replace unhelpful beliefs. You’ll learn useful coping tools such as: Cognitive Restructuring: Identify and challenge negative thoughts to develop more balanced perspectives. Behavioral Activation: Incorporate enjoyable activities into your routine to boost mood and reduce anxiety. Relaxation Techniques: Use strategies like deep breathing and progressive muscle relaxation to calm physical anxiety symptoms. Problem-Solving: Break down challenges into manageable steps to reduce overwhelm. Assertiveness Training: Improve communication and self-confidence in expressing your needs. Each session will involve actionable steps, and you’ll have homework to reinforce these skills between sessions. We’ll also focus on relapse prevention and help you prepare for potential setbacks, so you feel equipped to manage future challenges. If you're struggling with insomnia, CBT techniques for sleep can also be included in your treatment. Let’s work together to build a calmer, more fulfilling life.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

I believe in helping you make rapid progress. I know that taking the first step toward therapy can feel overwhelming, but I’m here to make the process as supportive and effective as possible. I am trained in Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), a results-driven approach designed to help you achieve meaningful change quickly. Rather than dwelling on past challenges, we’ll focus on your strengths, resources, and the concrete steps you can take to move forward. My goal is to help you find solutions that work for you—so you can start seeing progress and feeling better, faster. I've honed my skills in SFBT at The University of Chicago and have been using this approach successfully for years. Here's how it goes down: we start by setting crystal-clear goals that you can actually achieve. These goals are all about what you want to accomplish in therapy and how you want to change your life for the better. Together, we'll uncover your strengths, resources, and past victories – because trust me, you've got plenty of 'em! We'll brainstorm goals, preferences, and potential solutions to your current challenges, all while boosting your self-confidence and motivation along the way. And when it's time to put those plans into action, we'll make sure they're practical, doable, and totally tailored to you. If we hit any roadblocks, no worries – we'll tackle them head-on, making adjustments as needed to keep things moving forward. This is a team effort, so your goals and preferences are always front and center. And as you start crushing those goals, we'll get you ready to wrap up therapy while making sure you've got the tools to maintain your progress long-term. That might mean brainstorming potential hurdles and putting in place strategies to keep you on track. So, if you're ready to dive in and start seeing real change, let's make it happen together with Solution-Focused Brief Treatment.
