In our first session together, here's what you can expect
I want our first session to feel calm, welcoming, and pressure free. I focus on building rapport, helping you feel safe, and creating a space that feels comfortable, from the lighting and tone of the room to the volume of conversation. Together, we’ll talk about what brings you in, what you hope to get out of therapy, and I’ll walk you through what the process looks like moving forward. My goal is for you to leave that first session feeling understood, supported, and confident that you’re in the right place to start your healing journey.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
Thank you for taking the time to learn more about me and my calling as a counselor. My journey into this work is deeply personal. I was born in California and raised in a complex family system marked by limited emotional support and the profound loss of my brother, experiences that shaped both my early life and my understanding of grief, attachment, and resilience. I later found myself at Arizona State University, where I attempted to balance academics with club soccer. During that time, I became overwhelmed by mounting pressures and began experiencing symptoms that were eventually identified as anxiety. Like many, I coped in ways that ultimately deepened my struggles, including unhealthy relationships with alcohol and fractured connections with others. These experiences gave me firsthand insight into how anxiety, maladaptive coping, and unresolved emotional pain can quietly take hold. After earning my bachelor’s degree, I worked as a bartender for nearly a decade. It was during this chapter of my life that my path toward becoming a Licensed Professional Counselor began not from the clinician’s chair, but from the client’s. I graduated from Grand Canyon University with a masters in professional counseling. I found the ultimate healer in Jesus Christ, and heard my calling to spreserve a ministry of Counseling. My walk with God took me back to my roots to heal addiction, anxiety, and panic disorder, I developed a deep respect for the courage it takes to seek help and the transformative power of the therapeutic relationship. My professional approach today is rooted in empathy, narrative work, and relational safety. I integrate evidence based modalities to support healing from addiction, trauma, depression, anxiety, and emotional dysregulation. I believe meaningful change occurs when individuals feel truly seen, understood, and empowered to reconnect with their story in a way that restores purpose and hope.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
Through Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), I help clients understand how their thoughts influence their feelings and choices. We work collaboratively to develop new ways of thinking that support healing, resilience, and everyday peace.
Dialectical Behavior (DBT)
I help clients learn practical tools for managing emotions, improving relationships, and staying grounded through life’s challenges. Together, we work toward balance, self-compassion, and growth.
Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT)
Through Emotionally Focused Therapy, I guide clients in identifying and expressing core emotions to create more authentic, connected relationships. Together, we work toward healing attachment wounds and building lasting emotional safety.
Motivational Interviewing
I support clients in uncovering their inner drive to make meaningful changes. Together, we focus on compassion, curiosity, and confidence to create lasting growth.
