About Me I bring a rich background spanning education, counseling, and life’s real transitions to my practice. As a parent of three—with two in college—who has walked through a personal separation, I know firsthand what it takes to navigate major life shifts. My space is calm and grounded, but my style is straightforward and lovingly transparent. I’m here to offer real human perspective, warm encouragement, and practical guidance.

Therapy for Real Life, Grounded in Real Progress Mental health support designed to help you break through burnout, reframe stress, and reclaim your balance. Practical, goal-oriented care delivered with clarity and care.

My Approach I combine Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) into a clear, actionable methodology. Rather than just talking in circles, we look at the connection between your thoughts, habits, and emotional well-being. We’ll examine what’s keeping you stuck, leverage your natural strengths, and implement concrete tools that foster genuine, lasting growth. My Ideal Client My work is designed for the person who is ready to hold up a mirror, take an honest look at where they are, and commit to doing the real work. If you are ready to move past surface-level fixes, break through burnout, and step fully into your power, we will build a path forward together.

First session

What to Expect in Your First Session Starting therapy—especially for the first time—can feel intimidating, but your initial session is simply a warm, open space for us to connect. We’ll talk through what brought you here, map out where you’re feeling stuck, and discuss what you want your life to look like on the other side. There’s no pressure to have everything figured out or phrased perfectly; you just bring your honest self, and we’ll take it one step at a time. How You’ll Feel Leaving the Room My goal is for you to walk away from our very first meeting feeling hopeful, energized, and genuinely ready for change. Rather than leaving you overwhelmed, our initial session is designed to give you immediate relief and momentum: Unburdened & Heard: You'll experience a calm, non-judgmental space where you can speak freely and know your story is understood. Grounded in Hope: You’ll see a clear path forward, knowing that the repetitive loops and burnout you’ve been experiencing don't have to be your permanent reality. Energized for Growth: You’ll walk away with a renewed sense of clarity and practical focus, ready to step into the work and make real progress.

Strengths

What Strengths Do I Bring? My greatest strength in session is that I’ve seen and heard a lot—there is truly nothing new under the sun. That depth of experience creates a grounded, non-judgmental environment where you can speak freely without fear of being misunderstood. You don't have to filter your reality here; you are safe to bring your raw, honest self into the room. What Makes My Practice Unique? Having lived in different corners of the country and worked across completely distinct industries, my worldview is broader than most. Combined with my own personal life journeys, these diverse experiences allow me to connect with people from all walks of life. I understand that context, environment, and culture shape who you are, allowing us to build a connection rooted in genuine perspective and real human understanding. My In-Session Style Because I use an eclectic approach, I don't stick to a rigid script. Sometimes I sit back, listen deeply, and hold a steady, quiet space for you to process. Other times, I will push back and lovingly challenge the beliefs or habits holding you back. My role isn't to sit passively—it's to adapt to what you need in the moment to move the needle, foster growth, and get real results.

Ideal clients

My Ideal Client My ideal client is someone ready to be open, dive into the tough conversations, and do the real work required to create lasting change. They are tired of running in circles, feeling stuck in repetitive patterns, and are genuinely hungry for a fresh direction in life. I do some of my best work with individuals navigating significant relationship shifts—whether you are unsure about your current relationship or picking up the pieces and rebuilding after one has ended. I also specialize in helping parents close the gap with their children. Having worked for years as a school counselor, I often realized that parents and kids are simply speaking two different languages. I act as an interpreter, helping you understand each other, reduce friction, and rebuild connection at home. Additionally, I support high-functioning individuals dealing with deep burnout or standing at a critical crossroads. Whether you are navigating a career pivot, a major life transition, or simply trying to figure out who you are in this next chapter, you don't have to carry that weight silently. How We Approach Therapy My clients want a space that balances genuine warmth with real accountability. They don't want a cookie-cutter experience or someone who just nods along. They want a collaborative partner who can hold a steady, calm space while giving them the practical insights and honest perspective needed to move the needle forward.

Treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I utilize CBT to help clients recognize negative thought cycles, reframe automatic assumptions, and implement practical behavioral tools that foster long-term emotional well-being and relief from stress.

Solution-Focused Brief Treatment

I utilize Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) to help you move past feeling stuck and start making progress toward your goals. Rather than spending session after session on the problem itself, we focus on your existing strengths and past resilience to map out practical, achievable steps toward the future you want to build.

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

My work incorporates Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help you build psychological flexibility and resilience. Instead of struggling against difficult thoughts and feelings, ACT teaches you how to loosen their grip, stay grounded in the present, and take meaningful steps toward a life rooted in what matters most to you.
