Hi! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and have been working in the mental health field since 2008. My goal is always to meet clients where they are and to be as helpful as possible in the process. I work with children, teens, young adults, and parents using practical, evidence-based approaches. I focus on individual, family, and community-based strengths in order to create a foundation for lasting change. I also have specialized experience in treating young children with behavior problems, as well as individuals who are struggling with anxiety, depression, self-harm, sexual identity, and trauma-related issues.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

I like to think of therapy sessions as more of a conversation, which can help ease any anxieties about our first session. We'll start with introductions, and generally I like to just jump right in to what has brought you to therapy so that we can maximize our time together and create a plan moving forward.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I aim to help my clients feel supported and validated, but also feel a sense of trust and belonging when they are in a session with me. My general philosophy is to meet clients where they are and go from there in terms of how I can be the most helpful.

My treatment methods

Parent-Child Interaction (PCIT)

Parent-Child Interaction Therapy is an evidence-based treatment designed for young children with behavioral problems. This treatment modality is most helpful for a parent-child dyad, where the parent is taught different skills to help manage their child's difficult behaviors. Typically, I provide coaching through a parent's ear buds while watching them interact with their child via video.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I have used CBT with many clients over the years to help them learn to recognize their cognitive distortions, gain a better sense of understanding of their own behavior, use problem-solving skills to deal with difficult behaviors, and learn to develop a greater sense of confidence in their abilities. In my practice, I have primarily utilized CBT to help individuals who are experiencing anxiety and/or depression.
